A-10C for Arma 3

Has anyone else got this to re-spawn on a dedicated mission using the BIS Re-spawn module ? I knew the F18 was broken, but with pubbies leaving burning A-10 wreaks all over the deserts of Takistan, it would be good to get them to re-spawn.

If not, does anyone have a configurable re-spawn script that would be a good stand in ?

I keep getting that the peral_a10_data is not signed ?

I am not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue but I have noticed a massive FPS hit after placing an A-10 in the editor, for instance my fps is usually roughly around the 60-90fps when in the editor but after I place the A-10 it goes down to 40fps.

Also clicking items in the main menu becomes very sluggish.

I can confirm the sluggish menu options issue. When I open the menu to get to view distance settings they don't even appear for a good 5 seconds or so... I'm running many of the same mods as you are also.

The FPS drop isn't really a problem, because as far as I know there's really no solution for it. It just has to do the way the RV engine handels heavy scripts which are used in the A10. Its not very efficient at doing so.

Well its a great mod I really hope these performance issues can be corrected in future versions.

PwS automatically signs pbo's if they have no signature and processes public server keys to allow full multiplayer compatibility.

The pbo's were already signed prior to the update but I'm not sure they've been resigned with the new update. In other words, I don't think PwS would've resigned the pbos as they've already been signed.

Had a pretty bad headache trying to start up but I managed to do it all correctly including the pre flight checks. :D

I have a problem using switches since the mod was updated. I have the same custom action key defined than before but now the switches wont work when I try to flip them. Any idea? I tried reassign it to something else but no effect.

Crosshair action has been changed from custom user action 20 to seagull fast forward under the developments tab in the keybinding menu. Please read the readme or the forum for that matter before posting. Thanks.

So, after scouring the thread, I've found that nobody has even mentioned the problem we are having, so maybe it's an isolated incident.

If when playing on multiplayer, somebody goes through the start-up procedure and flies around for a bit, returns to base, hops out, and disconnects. That A-10 is now useless, by that I mean, nobody else can start it back up, or even flick most of the switches for that matter. Even if said person who left the game comes back and tries, it will not work.

Anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

You are talking about A10's that Haven't been driven into walls/other jets/tanks/players/hangers/tankers/ etc etc are you ? They don't seem to work at all.... ;) lol

Are you sure that the instance lock of the vehicle is set to playable for everyone?

We prefer yo have our own repo, but never mind.

This might be a bit late, but it's quite simple to set up a custom repo for Play withSix. Our group manages one, which combines some mods we host ourselves with others we get from the PWS network. It works a treat.

If there is a way to replace the default game's crosshairs with your own custom CCIP pipper or whatever, that may be the best solution if the actual HUD is inaccurate for Track IR users. Bohemia seems to force crosshairs "on" when flying aircraft like the Buzzard, so maybe it's simply because the HUD system in fixed wing aircraft isn't really reliably accurate, due to camera movements from G-Force or Track IR head movement?

They are set to unlocked if that's what you mean. Otherwise I don't have a clue. I'm assuming you don't have this problem? Lol.

I'm not sure if this is a known problem, but when testing the A-10 for our unit the sounds were not local. Rather you could hear them anywhere, even when not in close proximity of the aircraft. This mainly was the gears and stall warning, But it would be nice to know if it was a mistake on our part, or something the mod maker hasn't finished yet.
