BAMSLAM 1857 Posted May 14, 2018 "Rust"The Soviet-American War - Somewhere in Hawaii, 1985.STORY: Spoiler Heavily Inspired by Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number and the song "Rust" By El Huervo In an alternate universe during the year 1985, the Cold War has reached its boiling point. War has broken out between the United States and The Soviet Union resulting in the 3rd World War. To the East, the Soviet satellite states and Western Democratic Countries battle for control of Europe, to the West, the pacific burns as the Russian Navy carves a path straight towards the American Coast. The island state of Hawaii becomes the scene of some of the most brutal jungle fighting since the Vietnam war. The men pictured here are apart of the Hawaiian National Guard, a unit that has seen action since the war's Beginning. They held off wave after wave of Soviet Marines and Paratroopers and were nearly decimated in the weeks of fighting that followed. The unit regained its strength and numbers however and quickly became one of the most experienced and deadly units in the entire war. The National Guard became infamous for its brutal and somewhat extremist methods when it came to fighting their invaders. Executions of any suspected communist sympathizers was common and the unit became especially known for its brutal use of machetes to butcher any Red Army Officers Or Commissars they came across. In their downtime, the unit was known for its partying, looting, excessive drinking and drug use, and most notably its in enthusiasm for surfing.
