kabong 1 Posted August 27, 2010 Check it out - two changes I LOVE already is the use of the full screen space and persistent memory of whether you were last in LAN mode or Internet mode. Thanks BIS!
Sim.M 48 Posted August 27, 2010 wasn't that Gamespy who did that or a combination of both companies? Still it is a lot easier to read, and when I was selecting a mission on my server I found it a lot nicer to work with. So that change gets a thumbs up from me. Dwarden 1125 Posted August 27, 2010 the overhaul of MP server list screen has nothing to do with GameSpy at all ... glad You like it
SWAT_BigBear 0 Posted August 27, 2010 Could ya do the same for Islands/missions?
Beagle 684 Posted August 27, 2010 I like it very much, especially that the player names are back. What is the mission time function ? It always shows 15 minutes left on all Warfare servers. Better would be to show how long mission is already running, if this is possible.
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted August 27, 2010 Yeah, lovely change, player names back was excellent news. I prefer mission time left. If it worked (I haven't really checked), it would be based on the lenght parameter that you cannot see. 10 hours elapsed tells me nothing, as you don't know the parameter. 1 hour remaining on the other hand, tells me that a new game is about to start, weather it's limit is 3 or 20 hours. walker 0 Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) Hi all A great improvement BUT! Make the Highest number of "Players" the default ordering. The current default order view is based on lowest ping so it always shows empty servers at the top. People new to the game still think and say there is no one playing because their first view is ping, and it always shows the small client servers physically close to them and those with no one on them using up bandwidth because they will allways have the lowest ping. So your first view is Empty Servers! And new players do not even know you can change the order view. Sometimes one has to shout to get heard. Kind Regards walker Edited August 27, 2010 by walker
-)rStrangelove 0 Posted August 27, 2010 Sorry walker but this is personal taste, isnt it? The moment you introduce number of players as a default order n00bies will complain 'MP servers being sooooo laggy' because they only see red ping numbers like 150+. fusionofp 0 Posted August 27, 2010 (edited) I'm getting no servers at all ?!! Nothing in the filters list either, have tried BattleEye on and off. DOH! But I then found that I'm blocking the ports :( Edited August 27, 2010 by fusionofp Dumbass

-=seany=- 5 Posted August 27, 2010 Nice updates all right but there are two more things I would like fixed with this lobby. First, I would like individual servers to be refreshed by highlighting/clicking them with the mouse as in Arma and Arma2. For some reason BIS changed this in OA:- you have to refresh the whole list to check one server. Second is the way wide screen aspect ratio (16:10 for me) messes up the mouse pointer so the further you move down the list of servers the pointer becomes very inaccurate. Zipper5 74 Posted August 27, 2010 They still refresh when you highlight them. They do it every time for me.

Same here. Found I have to use my arrow keys and ENTER to get in some servers. Just couldn't click.

jblackrupert 14 Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) I noticed the mouse accuracy in the browser after the 1.07 update. Resolution 1920x1200. I have to click a just below the server name to get it to select. It doesn't get less accurate further down the list for me though. Edit: Problem is also the same at 1680x1050 Edited August 28, 2010 by jblackrupert
zyklone 1 Posted August 28, 2010 i noticed it also, will check into what's issue The gamespy time left stuff has never worked since OFP. :) So it'd be great if you can look into it.
Tankbuster 1744 Posted August 28, 2010 I like the interface too, especially being able to read long server names.

Walker is right IMO: everything possible should be done to make a new player's transition into the Armaverse as smooth as possible - including maybe a 'quick connect' function which auto-joins a noobatron player straight to a suitable (i.e. populated, low ping, mod compatible) server (ideally with the simple option of either a PVP or COOP mission). Sometimes one has to shout to get heard. Tell me about it  Edited August 28, 2010 by Mandrake5

msg trit 0 Posted August 28, 2010 I really like the new multiplayer interface, however I do have one slight problem and that is due to Eyefinity bezel correction I can't see the information that is on the edges of the server list. For example the coloured dots down the left side. The problems with Eyefinity bezel correction do affect other interfaces in the game as well, but I don't want to get off-topic. :)
kylania 568 Posted August 28, 2010 I totally disagree with full, laggy servers being the default. I'll take a 3 man server with a 47 ping over a 29 man server with a 275 ping any day, thank you. Full servers are usually full with rude and stupid players anyway, hardly the first impression you want. :)
