Our clan started as a Mount and Blade Napoleonic Wars clan. For people who played it you know the stuff(linebattles etc). We decided that we should expand our clan. While we still do NW we decided to also play Arma 3 amongst other things( HOI4 War thunder Total war). I myself have a duty of recruiting so the job of recruiting for Arma 3 came on my head(because thats what happens when you are an NCO in the recruiting team). But enough with the background. We want to start our Arma 3 branch of the clan so im pretty new in the Arma 3 recruitment department so some stuff may be out of place. We currently have 12 people amongst our ranks that have Arma 3 and participate in Arma 3 events or as we call them "expeditions". Now i dont really know how many people we get per every Arma 3 event(somewhere between 5 to 10 maybe) but we obviously will start slow in Arma.(our clan has more people but obviously for Mount and Blade) In terms of clan rules we allow: -any type of language because our guys like jokes and really dont get offended -we are semi-milsim but depending on the guys attending we may step up a notch and use a realism mode(like Ace 3 etc). -we accept anyone no matter the experience or in how many clans they were before we are all learning togheter -we dont do required attendence events like other clans may do so its imposible for you to get kicked for not attending regularly -even if you joined for Arma you can always go to our other events without any formalities(enlisting again for other games by talking with a CO or NCO)- -obviously the game is much better when you have friends to play with so you can recruit any of your friends to join What do we exactly do in Arma you ask? Well we play custom missions for now but we are obviously open to experimenting on other things. We also do escape from Altis since its much harder to escape with a 8 man team then with a duo.We are thinking of doing Insurgency mode but that is a tiring mode which takes more than one event(our events usually lasting between 1 hour on paper or 2 depending if people want to extend the event period) Do I need any DLCs or other mods? We never really ask people to buy DLCs(screw you bohemia we keepin our money) but you may be asked to get some mods from the workshop like the one for our teamspeak server so you can hear people in teamspeak only when you are close(i think its called Task Force Arrowhead) but other then some few modes no. 'Swift & Bold' 160 Infantry Brigade is an ArmA 3 military simulation unit emulating one of the British Army's Adaptable Force Brigades; focusing on the authentic and immersive depiction of light role operations. The aim and ethos of the Brigade is to present the operational capacity of the infantry and the trials and tribulations undertaken by British servicemen with respect, attention to detail and an attitude befitting the discipline, determination and tenacity of HM Armed Forces on operations across the globe. Careers Subject to basic recruitment requirements listed below, 160 Infantry Brigade accepts all recruits applying through our website submission form for a 20-minute retention interview in our TeamSpeak server. This interview covers a wealth of topics from personal experience and eligibility to situational light infantry questions to test and develop an applicant's common sense in a military environment. Once through this interview, the applicant is accepted as a Recruit and assigned either to the Rifles Training Company within 1 ITB or 2 Army Training Regiment depending on desired role. Prospective infantrymen looking to join 1st Battalion, The Rifles as part of the Brigade's primary deployable combat force will then undertake a condensed version of the Combat Infantryman's Course which lasts between three and five hours over the course of one evening and teaches all basic skills required to operate as a Rifleman at section level. Prospective Signallers and Combat Medical Technicians participate in a more basic version at Phase 1; a two hour Common Military Syllabus (Recruits) course, before moving on to Phase 2 for either the Regular Radio Users cadre or Phase 2 RAMC. Experience is key within 160 Infantry Brigade. Although every step is taken to ensure an authentic experience representative of the modern Rifles Regiment, the unit deviates in key areas from British Army doctrine and it is the wealth of experienced gained as part of the unit as opposed to an individual's experience in milsim that defines our leaders. For those with enough time and dedication under their belts, potential junior non-commissioned officer courses are held when positions open to determine candidates for the next generation of section commanders. Successful JNCO candidates then undertake Phase 3 training as part of the section commander's battle course; with further options including the platoon serjeant's battle course available. Basic Recruitment Requirements: - 16+ years of age - Based in a European time zone - Excellent grasp of the English language - A working microphone and copy of ARMA 3 - Able to attend the majority of Friday operations - An interest in organised, realistic and teamwork-oriented military simulation - The will to learn and support the unit's development Other Information 160 Infantry Brigade is a small milsim unit, representing at largest a single infantry platoon of 1st Battalion, The Rifles. Our aim during operations is to focus in on light role infantry combat, eschewing supporting elements such as joint helicopter command or recce platoon in order to concentrate our efforts on producing the finest infantry milsim we can possibly achieve. Those looking to perform pilot, vehicle crew, sniper or special forces roles will not find this unit accommodating for their tastes. All Brigade operations take place once a week on Fridays at 1900Z. Unit communication, warning orders, leave of absence and administration is handled through a Discord server and steps will be taken to discipline and eventually remove members who fail to communicate and/or contribute adequately to the unit. Who are we? The 160th SOR is one of Oceania’s largest, Arma 3 MilSim unit that prides itself on our sense of community and dedication to the game and each other. We have 3 main regiments that recruits can join they are; 28th Infantry Regiment, 69th Armored Regiment and finally the 101st Air regiment. Each regiment has a team of dedicated leaders and trainers to help ensure that everyone gets the best experience and advice as possible. What do we do? Every week, the 160th run two major operations. The official operations are held on a Wednesday and on a Sunday, both at 18:30 Sydney time (AEST/AEDT depending) with an average turnout of over 40 players. The 160th use a wide range of mods, including assets from ArmA 3 Apex, to enhance the gameplay experience. Favorite mods such as RHS, ACE3 and TFAR are in our pack, as well as some custom mods. To help grow and improve our members, weekly training is held to teach various in-game skills that help players to become a more effective member of the 160th, as well as growing their potential. Each training is lead by hand-picked and highly skilled trainers that have run their specific training course multiple times. In between major Operations and training sessions, various community members run their own unofficial operations, as well as play other games such as Eco, Factorio, Squad, etc. The 160th is primarily a MilSim Unit but we still function as a gaming community. Hello, I'm in a unit called 1st Princess of Wales Royal Regiment or 1PWRR for simple... basically we're a British Army based mechanised milsim unit and we just started actually, some previous members of 4th Infantry Brigade and we're open for recruitment right now.
