road runner 4344 Posted October 21, 2010 Yeah I don't think the BAF MTP looks anything like the current issue, the MTP is closer to the US Multicam
fingolfin 1972 Posted October 21, 2010 (edited) Hello StalkerGB, great to see some units in DPM! I would really like to see Royal Marines in jungle outfit for ArmA 2. It hasn't been done so far and they would go perfectly with the upcoming Lingor island. STALKERGB 6 Posted October 22, 2010 But I was wondering since your doing smaller projects if you'd be interested in maybe putting the BAF camo's on your osprey assault vest and put it on the BAF soldiers to update them a bit. Unfortunately there isn't any way to edit the BAF models, the same applies to the textures as far as I know. Mainly to stop people replacing the Lite version with the paid-for addon. @Fingolfin, I think my units may end up looking a bit like the pics you posted, its sorta the look i was trying get get similar to. DaveP 66 Posted October 22, 2010 It would be a fairly easy jump, boonies/no headgear and then it's only a slight colour modification for 'jungle dpm' (of what I remember it just has a more reddish brown tone
Nixo 10 Posted October 22, 2010 The dudes in dpm look sw33t! :P
Harlow-16AA- 0 Posted October 22, 2010 Very purdy One thing I'd suggest that I remember back in the old PUKF infantry that gave the units a really great level of shine would be hidden selections to choose between beret and helmet, and then texture selection to allow different coloured beret/unit patches, that way you really throw open the possibilities of what one unit represents for different squads Similarly it's a possible way to add variety to units in terms of personal gear of different kinds using some scripts to randomise it all for each person, or to allow players online to customise their look to suit them I like that idea a lot. Mind you, I have no clue about modding a whole project so it'll probably be me talking rubbish. One thing that i think would be quite cool would be the ability to choose between webbing and assault vests, i love my webbing :D but i know alot of people like the look of assault vests. EDIT, there was an infantry mod made that the helmets were actually glasses, so you could shoose the colour flash on your helemt through the profile, that was quite clever. Yeah, the tf86 seals and sbs sas have these, only problem is if you put on any of the ace face/headgear it gets rid of it, also hassle when you use a unit that already has headgear and it just looks like a big clusterfuck
Morts 0 Posted October 22, 2010 Yeah it is a problem when the unit has headgear on, but if it was made without it there would be no problem, you could choose between helmet, beret, bush hat all sorts.
Daniel 0 Posted October 22, 2010 if it was made without it there would be no problem Works for TF86. ;) We pick gear prior to the op start so it matches the terrain. It could also be done through in-game scripting.

The point I was getting at is that I don't want to have to go into my profile/switch profile every time I want to play with a unit that doesn't or does use custom headgear, I got sick of it, if it was per-unit it would allow you to change on the fly without having to worry about stuff like keeping your face cam settings and all that To be specific and to the point, there's enough guff involved now as it is setting up and gearing up in a match and in VCB we've cut it down to maybe 10 minutes max for everyone to grab their stuff and radio check and ready for briefing, let alone having to go in to my profile and set it all up for the mission at hand if this were the case, eats into the action time
road runner 4344 Posted October 22, 2010 if it can be done like AAW then even better ;)
rhaggan 10 Posted October 26, 2010 I'd love to some NI troops. Riot gear etc and some home service.
domokun 515 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) Is it true that the latest version (v1.3?) is only compatible with OA? Or is it just for certain details like the Diemaco? If so, is the latest A2 version v1.2? Edited October 28, 2010 by domokun
STALKERGB 6 Posted October 31, 2010 Is it true that the latest version (v1.3?) is only compatible with OA? Or is it just for certain details like the Diemaco? If so, is the latest A2 version v1.2? YEah the latest version only works with OA or COmbined Ops, its a mixture of technical and rights based issues for why it has to be like that. As you said the latest version for ARMA2 would be the v1.2 which can be found here.
STALKERGB 6 Posted November 3, 2010 Just a quick update, not any massive change, just re-did some of the assault vest. Larger Larger Larger As always, comments and suggestions are very welcome. Matt
konrad1 10 Posted November 3, 2010 WOW AWESOME you could just add a bit colour differendce between the bletsbags looks to much camo. Are they finished? also want to see some in desert
STALKERGB 6 Posted November 3, 2010 lol I've only really done the rifleman, started on the Section Leader but still a way off actually finishing! the bletsbags Do you mean the pouches or bergen? Might get round to a desert version at some point...
PSYCHOSIM 0 Posted November 3, 2010 Looking good there. Any chance you'd be updating your UKSF guys some point in the future?
Redders 15 Posted November 3, 2010 Matt, looking good so far mate, a couple of points though; Cyalumes on the assault vest could do with being removed. Boots - Could you change them to black, as suede/tan boots aren't de rigeur with CS95. As ever, if you need any reference phots, drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do. TomatoArden 0 Posted November 3, 2010 Niiice. Can I suggest you do a sort of hypothetical temperate version of the L129A1 to go with these. Ie with dark green bits instead of the sandy colours on the ones in Afghanistan. How about one with grass cam for sniper spotters :). Stirling work.
