STALKERGB's British 3 Rifle MTP (OA) Addon v1.2

Right then, finally got round to finishing this. Hopefully every new feature in OA functions correctly with these units (such as thermal maps, backpacks etc).

This is completely compatible with ALL OA's new features. So any site that has an OA release section can put these under there. There is a seperate config for people with just ARMA2 included.

Changes in V1.2

-Added missing AT weapon proxy to Marksman and Sniper.

-Added Lead Scout in full MTP.

-Added Light Rifleman with MTP Assualt Osprey.

-Created new open top mag pouch.

-Added THERMAL MAPS to units. (OA only)

-Updated units to use backpack system. (OA only)

-Added OA material settings for skin on arms. (OA only)

-Added Daysack, ECM/Comms Pack and Patrol Pack to BIS backpack system. (OA only)

-Updated config for users with OA (with or without ARMA2).

-Created seperate config for people with just ARMA2 (alpha test)

-L115A2 NO LONGER OPTIONAL, replaced L96A1 with L115A2 in all configs.

The installation of the configs is very important for this, if you own:

-Operation Arrowhead USE "stkr_britmtp_oaconfig.pbo"

-Operation Arrowhead + ARMA 2 USE "stkr_britmtp_oaconfig.pbo"

-ARMA 2 USE "stkr_britmtp_arma2config.pbo"

These units use the P:UKF Weapon pack which can be downloaded from HERE

Now that the L115A3 is a requirement you will also need the OOPz/UKF L115A3 addon

Ok this release has only been tested properly in OA so the alpha config I have as part of this pack for people with JUST ARMA2 may find some errors.

Hoofing effort mate, looks like a good update.

You probably don't want to be thinking about V1.3 right now but when you do you should consider adding a model with the full MTP rig [like your lead scout] but with black boots and sleeves rolled down so we can use them on Temperate islands also.

Great job on the pack, thanks for all your efforts.

One possible problem, not sure...

a) if its been noted before and

b) whether its just a problem with my machine ( having some problems with the command menu being corupt in the last 2 betas ) but I just noticed that the troops with SA80's dont cast a shadow of the weapon.

The GPMG has a shadow cast, havent tried anything else yet.

Will create one when i get back to my main computer, dunno where the link to rapidshare went lol I've never created a .bikey before :)

@RatCatcher, the missing shadows are to do with the UKF weapons, AFAIK they are fixed this in their upcomming update to the weapons.

@Imutep, thanks for the mirror, updated my first post with it :)

@Jonny_LI, yeah I think my plan will be to slowly add full MTP to all the units, so will end up with all MTP garb and long sleeves.

EDIT:btw, just been to see inception, damn good film it is...

Hmm,

If I start ArmA2 with "stkr_britmtp_arma2config.pbo", the game crashed to the desktop.

OA with "stkr_britmtp_oaconfig.pbo", no problems.

Do you own Operation Arrowhead?

EDIT: Tested myself and get same result, will look into it.

Could be to do with the backpack proxy as that is the only thing I can see coming up in the RPT. If thats the case I will have to remove the backpack proxy from ALL my units so that they work in ARMA2...

Any chance of guys with plain DPM instead of D-DPM? (or at least, fully MTP/hybrid DPM) They look slightly daft running around Chernarus with Desert Helmets! :butbut:
