CM burnt many people waaaaaaaay before their latest foray. They're well known for poor short term support of their games and for over promising, under delivering on things. Their reputation precedes them. Sadly for them, it's not a good reputation.

tennis on a Wii against a friend is great fun :D

Madden on PS2 against a friend is friggen awesome....

I guess consoles are best appreciated if you have friends and a life maybe :P

My main gripe with consoles is not that it works with aging hardware, that you have to pay extra for DLC, or that there are mainly simplified games coming out on them, as those can be enjoyable under the right circumstances (drunk, when you have friends over etc), but that games on console cost more than the ones on PC, while being more limited than the PC version (if they even bother to create one).

That's why my expectations for CM' next polished golden turd are low, which they would have been even if the sticker reading "CM" hadn't been on it. At least it used to be that you could play the "full version" without extra hassle on PC, which this game won't even allow since it's not coming out on PC.

You can beat 90% of console games in a single day. I think BioShock being the only one that I was even remotely interested in, and got that for PC.

Consoles good for a days' worth of "meh". PC games (good pc games) 40 hours minimum is the norm.

Ahaha... actually i would agree whole heartedly with you about the Wii until i played it! before that i thought the wii was the stupidest thing in gaming! i dont think its meant to be taken seriously .P / Different strokes for different folks...

For me personally, i think console games shine in the sports department! where you play against someone, then the value of the game lasts... if you havent played console in that respect then you cant really knock it.

Ive tried playing a shooter once on console and hated the experience, maybe mouse and keypad would work... i mean id rather fire up a dedicated gaming machine and play rather than always messing with PC... still wouldnt work for arma though... no mods .P

I don't know how old you are, but I would suggest you're outside the age bracket that the Wii is trying to tap :) As such, when you play a Wii game, you must play it as a child. Sort of like watching Star Wars, you must watch it as a 12 year old.

I play the Wii with my youngest child (8) and it's a blast, a hoot, a giggle. Saying that it's not a serious contender is really missing it's point.

I've played the BF2BC demo on the PS3, for a trouble free FPS it was a good laugh to play for a few hours.

despite the fact I can't use a controller to save my life I managed to get a few M21 sniper kills.

what I didn't like was the game felt sterile, while playing no player chat at all, I know voice comms etc but still I use to PC text abuse :)

I also have a Wii and Star Wars unleashed , feel the force of my light saber lol

The new CM title I thought was console only, I hate the way Devs are falling over themselves to make console games and porting whats left to PC.

After a hard day/night modding for Arma2 I like to fire up something that doesn't tax me hence the PS3/Wii tho I must admit the Wii gets next to no use at all.
