do you know that "OFP" is a kind of religion ?

we worship god called OFP since almost 9 years

we know every cm of Everon, Kolgujev, Malden

we died 10000 times for battle for Nogova etc.

it is few years of our life in this

it made this community, where people from whole globe, world are together

we can argue on politics, we can throw stones on each other for politics, but in the end we love each one like family and brothers of one family

this is something unique

and CM defaced our religion and defaced our god

look at addonmakers brotherhood - we really believe in this , we spent 1000s hours cause we believe in sense

we sometimes argue, but in the end a lot of us is helping each other

in the end sometimes 2 people which were opposite are working together cause one aim is for us important

a lot of people here are old OFP players, simply it is hard and difficult to explain, cause you must be here 5 years to understand it :)

i argued with some people, but i also found here many fantastic people and i also feel sorry that sometimes we tried too much and our nerves exploded, but in the end i feel that we all make one (even conflicted) but family

if you are new here in this community, if you not spent 10 000 hours in OFP world, if you not lived addons , missions etc. it may be difficult to understand

imagine something that you love

imagine someone who uses it only to earn money by defacing it

biggest shame of all was that BIS could not use OFP name cause sh*** CM got right to name

and they shown world and people waiting for OFP2 that...

i simply cannot forgive them

and when they make now new "combat game" , many people here act like they act

those people, no matter of age, race, nation, politics, religion or sex orientation feel the same as me

someone spited into their faces

and it is impossible to forget and forgive

CM should not touch three letters O, F, P

Yep.. although im new to this community i played OFP when it was first released... all of the series... I have never spent so much time playing around with one game, its like an obsession!

But this game is not my religion or my god :o

You are obviously one of the high priest's of this religion :p

It just doesnt make for good reading when it looks like its written by children who had their toys taken from them... as opposed to intelligent people who play an intelligent game... well maybe a game that requires some intelligence :)

*EDIT* The addon makers are exceptional talented people who keep this game alive, my ultimate dream is that all the addon and mod makers get together with BIS for 5-6 months locked away in some computer lab to create the ultimate military shooter, maybe then i would want to be baptized into this religeon.

Until then im a dirty crack fiend who comes to this forum and armaholic to get my daily fix of arma madness :P

and even people who in past criticized BIS for small mistakes, now stand tall like wall

cause our past critics had come from fact that we wanted "the best game in the world, not just very good" ;)

for many "gamers" it was "one of 100 games", for some of us (this community) it was "only one game for 5 years"

I've been reading about this game. I'm actually starting to take a liking to this. According to what I've read, it's spiritual sequel to a 2006 shooter called "Black". If it has a good multiplayer system and good graphics along with being polished then it might be successful. Luckily for you PC gamers, this game might not come out on PC.

Except the original game ran on RenderWare engine which, unlike EGO it will run on now, actually has a pretty long history of games from various genres and platforms.

if someone hyped game and than ... it was other and even servers prescribed on box are not true, than you expect such company to not lie again ?

if someone hyped and ended support ???

you expect that liar will become true next day?

the fact that you read something... look at pre release screens , videos of "other game which we not talk about"

cause you may be very surprised after release ;)

It may suck and I am aware of that. Since I have "that other game" and didn't find it great, I am cautious. I will probably wait for a review before deciding. We will see.

Black was a really good Game, very entertaining and with a few fresh aspects, but I doubt that CM will achive something like this. The damn EGO Engine can´t even handle leaning....

While I said the I didn't think "that other game" was great, I didn't necessarily think it was horrible. I though it was good. Just good. That's all. Stuart Black is along with several others from the team that made "Black" will be working on this game with Codemasters. It seems that fans of "Black" are expecting this to be a great game and a spiritual successor of sorts. If this turns out to be a bad game, they will be pissed. As I said, I'm gonna be making decisions based on reviews and input from other players and a will most likely follow this game.

if they said that "other game" will be A, B, C and ... shown renders and ... it was neither A nor B nor C and thay ban you from forum and spread shit that Arma is crappy-buggy than how can it be good

we don't judge product WITHOUT previous game made by BIS which name was ... blamed by "other"

we judge product from it's advertisements, like we hate politicians who promised to do X and after election say "we can't do X, we will do Y"

i don't care about "other game" as it was "a game from 1000 games in shop", but i care "from what i was shown during promotion"

imagine for moment that you love metal music, and you buy Vader/Behemoth, Kreator, MachineHead whatever album and... it is disco, good disco, but not metal

thats why i think that new game by CM will be also shit, because if they lied and hyped and shown not-implemented features, than they will do the same to new one

cause they joined to companies whose first philosophy is "marketing lies"

look at some shops that say "we have lowest prices" and you can buy the same product in 10 other shops 10-15 % cheaper

but some clients are stupid low IQ morons and go there without comparing prices with 10 other shops around

i know in PL 2 markets which advertise as "cheapest than anywhere, only for misers" "not for idiots"

in their shop Canon EOS 50D cost 3600 PLN, in other shops 2800-3200 PLN

shame they cannot be sentenced for this (it is not in Law :( )

the same "shop" is now CM "military realism never seen before, open space , true sequel ... " without single jet , panzer trees , 63 AI limit

man, i think new game will have half of shown features AFTER release and instal ;)

and we can have here some laugh at it

shame we don't have such customer law that "advertisement can't lie"

Well in Germany you have something like this, false advertisement can get you some real problems. But no one sued CM for the last game (Who goes to court for something that is worth 40€?)

I just think the EGO engine is over rated by CM, for racing games its ok but FPS not so much. It does ALWAYS seem to be washed out with post processing effects...

Yeah, their new F1 game doesn't look promising at all. They claimed that it will have simulation aspects to it (difficulty settings), but they recently announced that there will be no formation laps and a safety car. Guess there won't be a next-gen Grand Prix 4-like game afterall.

Man, they should fire whoever is making those prerenders. The gun is always the same gun, it always has the same muzzle flash, the enemies all look the same so far, and the environments look the same too. Either that, or that's really what the game is like, which wouldn't actually surprise me considering it's coming from the company behind "that other game". :rolleyes:
