bhaz 0 Posted February 28, 2010 As far as I know there isn't one in BC2? If you're injured, you will stay that way until you stand near a medic bag, thrown by yourself or another player.
Dead3yez 0 Posted February 28, 2010 When developers thought it a good idea to introduce a regenerative health system.I'm just sayin'... It's server sided difficulty option. ;) Don't like it, play on a server with it off. I will be.
Zipper5 74 Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) There's one in SP, not in MP. Since SP won't be what will hold me to the game, that makes me over the moon. And this is just f*cking awesome: aeJ1G-JFp6A Only 5 more days... Edit: Oh, so it is there in MP. Well, I like that it's optionable. I too won't be playing on servers with it. Guest Posted March 1, 2010 STALKER call of pripyat is the scariest, most atmospheric game I have ever played. Everyone should buy it! xD On topic: Still annoyed how long I have to wait. lol.
Lonestar 11 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Over on the EA UK Forums, user Muffinmn100 posted a link to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC user manual. Grab that here. The game's soundtrack has also been posted on the EA site, and available on iTunes as well. Source@RichieSpeed: I hope it's gonna help you pass the time ;) Edited March 1, 2010 by Lonestar

froggyluv 2136 Posted March 1, 2010 Preordered from steam and waiting for the countdown... SP actually looks pretty fun so I'll kick back and enjoy that before the anxiety induced insanity that is MP (Hardcore only here). I fully expect that entering MP a week later than everyone else will have me pitted against level 73 Megatron 3000's with 50+ specials, but I'll have my knife ;)
ICE-Raver 10 Posted March 1, 2010 This game is tons of fun. I can't wait to start pwn'n noobs.

bangtail 0 Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Steam users are well pissed off as DICE seems to have completely cocked up the Steam release and pre-load Edited March 2, 2010 by BangTail
Dead3yez 0 Posted March 2, 2010 Steam users are well pissed off as DICE seems to have completely cocked up the Steam release and pre-load Yep. I posted this in steam forums but I'll do a copy and paste spam here too. When people buy a pre-order they expect to be able to play the game right away, just as if they pre-ordered the game through the mail. They expect it to be posted through their letter boxes OR collect it from the store at midnight or on the day of release. With steam and digital downloads the same is simulated with pre-loads, much like the stores will have the reserved copies of the game ready in-stock. In light of steam's PR this looks disgraceful. Upon thousands of people have asked about this topic. All we've heard some time ago is that a DICE dev is presumably helping Steam solve some issues. Steam has had fruitful amount of time to inform us of the status of pre-loads and yet failed to do so. In-particular this applies to the ones extremely close to release date and ones expecting pre-loads. Why? My conclusion that they are keeping the few users who have not yet switched their order to another provider hanging by a thread. It can only be seen that the reason about un-announcing their pre-load is delaying users until it's too late for them to process refunds; making it extremely hard to get their money back. Steam's failure to inform us of any progress and perceived motives can only be described as disgusting. Now, I'm in the UK and my release day is far from near, relative to the US release. I hope when my time comes there is a pre-load. 10chars.
roberthammer 582 Posted March 2, 2010 Better is to buy it without steam , for example EA store - there you can buy and download digital version :) btw patch is out and servers up :p
Dead3yez 0 Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) Better is to buy it without steam , for example EA store - there you can buy and download digital version :)btw patch is out and servers up :p But after a year if you haven't extended your download service for $6 then you can't download the game again without paying the full price. Better to go with D2D. Source Edit: there is no extended DL service now :P Just remember to back up all your installation files if you purchased from EADM. Zipper5 74 Posted March 2, 2010 Goddamnit, Steam hasn't even started to preload it yet. It's bad enough that I have to wait until the 5th... Oh well, I guess it'll be that much more awesome... :(
Bulldogs 10 Posted March 2, 2010 I considered D2D but it's not available for Australians, EA store is the same as retail price for Australians (around $100) and Steam bumped their price up drastically while I wasn't looking.
11aTony 0 Posted March 2, 2010 I tried BFBC2 and I have to say I am disappointed. For starters: -no leaning -no prone (you could do that in BF2) -cannot toggle crouch -no diagonal sprinting -only one reload animation (why putting so much effort into reload anims - like switching to GL - and then make it wrong) -cannot switch firemodes (you could do that in BF2) -campaign somehow feels like cheap rip off of MW2s campaign -movment is a bit slow and awkward +Pretty nice graphics +Astonishing sound (although that "I went deaf for few sec after explosion near me" kind of gets old) +Free look +Easy to shoot enemies in thir heads:) So bottom of line for me is, rent it. Bulldogs 10 Posted March 2, 2010 I had a play test on it and I have to say that it's a lot like MW2 but more arcadey. It has a lot up on MW2 though in the multiplayer (multi is a lot of fun) due to the destruction system and that MW2 took a little too much arcade out of what is meant to be an arcade romp. Kinda made it feel not quite right. The singleplayer really reminds me of Modern Warfare in many aspects, but probably closer to the Medal of Honor games. It's very arcadey and it has some things that just don't seem right, like the first mission... how many times are the japanese soldiers standing 3 ft away from you, staring at you, yet they never see you. That kinda feels stupid. But the campaign gets better but from what I played of it, it never got as tense as MW2, but at the same time MW2 became too overboard to the point where you no longer cared about surviving because you knew that no matter what you did there would be 1000 enemies spawning around you that could all kill you in miliseconds, so you'd just run and gun and reload til you made it through. For singleplayer it's not really worth the purchase (then again, other than Arma, name an FPS that is), but the multiplayer is great if you're looking for a new romp game. Zipper5 74 Posted March 2, 2010 Most of those were mentioned pre-release probably 1,000,000 times, 11aTony. Please tell me you didn't buy the game before reading up on it a little. That common mistake is why "that other game" got, and is still getting, sales... I believe the campaign is meant to poke fun at Bad Company 2's main competition, Modern Warfare 2, hence why they were cheeky and ripped it off a little. I hear there are references to it as well throughout the campaign. Personally, I like that. A lot. :D
mosh 0 Posted March 2, 2010 (edited) So bottom of line for me is, rent it. That's why I have an XBOX 360. :) Since the MP limits (24 from what I've read) seems to be the same for PC or XBOX, I don't see a need to buy it for the PC... other than the fact me trying to aim with a controller is like watching a monkey fuck a football.
