Thank you for all your hard work and what you brought to the community especially Arma.

I think alot of us addon makers are in the same boat so to speak, i will be probably unable to release any of my own addons due to hex editing etc. :(

Dreadful news. I had high hopes for this mod. I can't say much about licensing but I can say this: The number of mods and addons are diminishing and this doesn't help

neither you guys or anyone else trying to create a better game. One can only dream, but I wish we were back to the OFP:CWC days.

I agree with what Big Mac is saying. These licences are ruining the community and could of been explain to us earlier so some one like wld doesnt spend 3 years working on a mod just to have it be "illegal."

This is absolutely ridiculous. BIS was the inspiration for me trying to start my own business. Making games modder friendly. Supporting your community. Understanding that you original product is cool, but hundreds of modders can make it even better. BIS, you just took a great business, and through it down the shitter. 5 minutes ago, I was certain that I was buying the British DLC, but now I am not so sure. It is not like these people are stealing your stuff and starting their own business from it. They are giving it out for free for the enjoyment of people who payed $50, and often for a new computer, in order to buy your game. And as far as credits go, in 99.99999999999% of the readmes I have actually read, they have credited BIS for 'creating an awesome, modder friendly game'. I suppose we will no longer be seeing the latter part of this statement, now will we?

Hopefully BIS realized that the main appeal since OFP is the vast ammount of addons available for people to use. As good as the vannila game is, playing with default units in the vannila game gets old fast and doesn't give mission creators enough for ideas or abilities to create scenarios.

Addons are one of the reasons why I'm still playing ArmA 2/OA.

Hell if ArmA 2 had no addons, I definitely wouldn't be playing it today.
