The CH-46 Sea Knight is to be retired soon, to be replaced by the MV-22 Osprey. Again, this is with the United States' military, other militaries may differ. I really want to see videos on the AI, because from what I see from the AI in ArmA II in close quarter situations, its gonna be a cluster you-know-what in any kind of tightly spaced urban area. Especially with reaction times, Sometimes when playing on avgani, a squad mate will go around a corner only to see an insurgent on the other side and my squad mate will just kinda take his time to shoot, generally ending up in his death. :| Also, they really need to learn not to go prone ALL the time. When our squad is fucking running from a huge group of Taliban with mounted MG trucks, please dont go prone and start to crawl. That is really one of the most aggravating things. enad 11 Posted April 7, 2010 Well if they plan on making this game setting in Afghanistan, theres bound to be a few large cramped urban areas. So really, the way AI are now would be an utter fail in Operation Arrowhead. Its not that the AI is bad, its just they act retarded in Urban areas. AI really need to learn how to use cover as well. Especially the ones in your squad, I mean when under fire, don't crowd around me behind a rock, just go to the car wreck and brick wall right over there. And please don't tell me that I don't know how to command my squad because I do...I've been playing ArmA since it was released. The FIND COVER command is a mega fail....they just go into a V formation and stand up. lol. So really, they kinda NEED to do something about the AI unless they plan on having ALOT of dissapointed and angry players. One thing I noticed also with ArmA II is they really should make Designated Marksmen and units that use DMR and such kinds of rifles way more accurate. Its like they aren't even using the sight. I told one of my AI team mates to attack this Static gunner position...and he lays down waits a bit and starts shooting. Im looking in my binoculars and his shots are soo off. I think it's amazing that BIS is able to accomplish what they have considering the size of their team and what their development budget is likely to look like. We are fortunate that they allow modding to the extent that they do, but I think it would be fun to see the whole community experimenting with different solutions on how to improve the behavior.
