I have voted "Bad" it's not a reflection on the patch bacause I have not tested it. Why? because I can't test it. I can't test it because I can't patch my server and can not play!

I have no idea how many people just play online, but I am one. I have never played the Single player and never will. Just online and that's it! and now I can not play so I'm pissed off!

I will have to uninstall my game and reinstall just to get back to patch 1.02. Of course being very carful not to screw up the copy protection BS that limits you installs. If I lose one of the five installs because of this I'm going to get really pissed off! Think BI will honour a one, fifth refund request?

Bad - unplayable now (4 second hang / 60 seconds gameplay - Cherarus).

Dedi server will be released today, if we will not find any problems. Its tested right now. Still looking good.

as I have mentioned before.

sucks big time.

I also have some crackling sounds sometimes (sounds like someone switches my headset mic on and off)

Wow! So much whining because of the new patch.

But some more whining. Driving still terrible, AI doesnt looked improved (need some more testing though). Performance have run smooth from 1.0, no problem there.

I also noticed that smoke grenades are very weak now. Those run out in few seconds.

And I cant load my Dog of War save without crashing even I made the save in this patch. Savegame still works for other scenarios that I tested so maybe its that campaign mission which breaks it easily?

Well, at least they fixed that sea surface bug:

Fixed: Sea surface was not rendered in NE area out of map.

Man, that thing was driving me crazy.:wink_o:

Voted bad cos no dedi server patch at same time.

This gets peeps backs up and doesn't help those supporting the game running servers. It is a about as relevant to patch satisfaction as you could possibly get.

HOLY CRAP.

Dedi server is out now.. but its just amazing the amount of crying people will do over an... 18 hours? delay of a dedicated server. you'd think it was a death sentence by the way people were talking... Boohoo, you didnt get to play on your regular server for a few hours... people are so goddamned spoiled.

^ yeah that's all well and good in hindsight, but this whole uproar could've been avoided had BIS just waited 8 hours to release both server and client updates at the same time... playing 1.02 is better than not playing at all.

Good onya's for being so quick about it. Least that's a +1 :)

Well, I had no real problems before but now with 1.03 I find graphic artifacts (triangles and such) when zoomed in through the sights. This only appears when zoomed in, and goes away as soon as zoomed back out. So I guess I could be a bit more satisfied.

Voted bad because:

-the trees and bushes look weird after installing the patch(details vanish when you get far enough, this didn't happen before or atleast you had to be much further away for it to happen. Changing settings doesn't help)

- Rifle + some other equipment still drop while swimming

-Helicopters still crash into trees and other objects(even with flyinheight adjusted)

over 6 weeks we have waited for this..huge dissapointment! the main big issues we been complaining about havent been fixed/improved... its like wtf - speaking on behalf of 2 clans and old us old ofp members

major issues:

-Enemy ai can see through vegitation/bushes/trees and smoke! EVEN buildings somtimes

-The stars are way too bright on the NVG, with the stupid auto adjust they are useless.

-smaw/javalins/bullets hit leaves/vegetation like its steel.

-Flares mess the hole nvgs up with flickering black ground textures.

-still get black squares on some destroyed vehicles

-Wtf Countermeasures and warnings for helis and planes.... modern planes have them why cant the game, go the expense of making the realistic star positions of the time of year but yet cant give something important and actually realistic.

- Rudder still goes mad on the f35, harrier gets even worse at speed over 500

Would be good to have:

-dynamic throttle on the choppers

-why cant the harrier have the same Vtol attributes as the f35

-we miss the Apache and Chinnook - came in a patch update in ofp

-when will the 3D editor be usable

-in the editor some things just have blank selectables in objects and sound for example

-a mic adjustment menu for in game voip!

-fix the medic modules so we can use them in MP.... this was the best feature of the game and its been taken out really...

there is more to add but the major issues need addressing since its making the game unplayable at most.

It makes us laugh that the community can do better things in so little time than bohemia, no offence.. its like why dont u consider buying the community's add-ons then bring them out in one single patch!

Since 1.03, it takes (at least for me) 3 SMAW-HEDP. And by then, the crew has already gotten out and are all fine. Things doesn't blow up, AIs takes 5-15 seconds to fall over after being shot. AIs blown away get's stuck in the air (like 100 meters up)

It doesn't happen always, but a lot.

Its good, but i still cant launch Arma 2 at 5040x1050 (just 3840x1024), come on BI, how hard could be to fix this ? :)

I think this is probably the point i talk about most. Vopsounds for starts. they are massively better than the orignals, and same with RH and TRSM sounds. they aren't they just the standard sounds, just need a bit of tweaking on the direction sound bit but surely bohemia could work on that. Also units like the chinnook, Apache, F-16 and all the other amazing mods coming out, if the really good ones where suck in a patch that means that more people could mod online missions (modding is what makes this game) and other could simply join without having to download too many things.

I'd agree with all of Simon M's items, the nvg's on the game are rubbish. I would like to know who in bohemia looked at the stars in nightvison and said "yes they look great." they are nearly the same size as the moon!

All in all not very pleased with the 6 weeks worth of work here.

This is driving me insane. I'm pretty sure I was able to destroy T-72 and T-90 tanks with Javelin before patch 1.03. Now it won't blow. It's not even damaged enough for the AIs to get out.

Unable to reproduce... I just did a quick test on Utes and took out a T-72 with one hit from the Javelin (immediately destroyed), then I hit a T-90 and the crew bailed out and a few seconds later it exploded.

That was Regular difficulty so I had waypoint markers etc. I tried again on Expert difficulty just with the T-90 - destroyed it almost immediately (one crew member bailed out, but was killed in the explosion).

Re topic: it seems to be perform better for me in a quick test flying around Chernaurus, so I'm pleased. If this was the final patch I'd be disappointed, but I expect there's more to come so I can wait.

Aye some good things. Performance has taken quite a hit for me - dropping about 10FPS. I'm not too bothered about that because it is still playable BUT BUT BUT the stuttering has now appeared.

Anyone else now got stuttering (after doing all the normal things like defrag etc) ?

Just use a heavy MG... 100rds from the .50 Browning will be enough to destroy a T-72. Why even considering AT Weapons...a light MG will be enough to deal with a T-72 or T-90.

But dont try this with a BMP...it wont work here.

This bug is just a wrong number in a .pbo, but was untouched by the patch. like a few other annoiances.

I'm very unsatisfied.

Smoke nades are now fubared

Throwing any type of nades in a high arcing trajectory looks a little off [ they seem to veer off slightly then correct their arc path ]

Enemy AI now shoot and have the battlefield tactical awareness of Stevie wonder on a bad day. Pandering to the Cod 4/ BF2 players in Arma2 just wasn't your best idea BIS.

Keep the patches coming guys.
