Big Dawg KS 6 Posted August 5, 2009 (edited) Ohara never said Earth days... maybe he meant Venus days, which according to Placebo would be 1215 to 1458 earth days. Edited August 5, 2009 by Big Dawg KS
ryan80 10 Posted August 5, 2009 There is a difference between 1) few days , and 2) a few days. and Ohara mentioned the 1st.

Potatomasher 0 Posted August 5, 2009 Hahaha. This thread is funny. :D I just wonder why this thread isn't locked... Could the patch come in "few" days afterall... Naaah. I'm not believing until i see it myself. I'm just torturing myself here.
TimRiceSE 10 Posted August 5, 2009 Whats the rush anyway? It's almost as if people want to rush BIS to release something that isnt ready, just so they can continue whining about bugs they didnt have time to fix.
connos 10 Posted August 5, 2009 As always, in this or the next week.btw. I'm also waiting for the "DCS- Black Shark" 1.1 Patch...the first to come in 4 Months. Compared to this, the Support BIS delivers is outstanding. I am very curious what comes first. There are other games ??? DCS BS doesn't desperate need a patch is a very stable and good as it is that you can finish the main campaign without issues. Thay release the campaing in new version and they really active in the forums and also they recently release the patch read me. In the other hand Arma 2 has a lot of issues and game breaking bugs that need fixing. Do get me wrong i love Arma 2 and i don't care how many bugs there is in the game if they are going to fix them. I currently stop playing till the patch arrives.
nominesine 0 Posted August 5, 2009 Newsflash: Patch 1.03 is already released, but it's only available to free masons and the members of some fictional secret societies.
hoot 0 Posted August 5, 2009 I hope the new patch makes things much more OFP-DR ... if not make that patch 1.04. Uuuhm what? What things?! Distinctions please!

cjsoques 0 Posted August 5, 2009 As always, in this or the next week.btw. I'm also waiting for the "DCS- Black Shark" 1.1 Patch...the first to come in 4 Months. Compared to this, the Support BIS delivers is outstanding. I am very curious what comes first. There are other games ??? It is completely unfair to compare the patch release time of Black Shark to ARMA2. If you've played Black Shark, you'll notice (for me anyways) it is the most COMPLETE simulation free of major bugs I've ever seen on release day, and I'm not the only one who thinks that. Go to that forum and see if you find 5% of the threads that are on here whining about bug this and bug that. 4 months is reasonable for a product that was already stable to begin with as opposed to another product that wasn't quite ready to be released and needs to be fixed ASAP. cjsoques 0 Posted August 5, 2009 That's not what was said.Let's just say I anticipate threads titled "when can we expect 1.04?" very soon.......... Made me think of this from the funny people over at Blizzard: Soon: Copyright 2004-2009 Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. All rights reserved. "Soon" does not imply any particular date, time, decade, century, or millennia in the past, present, and certainly not the future. "Soon" shall make no contract or warranty between Blizzard Entertainment and the end user. "Soon" will arrive some day, Blizzard does guarantee that "soon" will be here before the end of time. Maybe. Do not make plans based on "soon" as Blizzard will not be liable for any misuse, use, or even casual glancing at "soon." Very Soon Another common term implemented by Blizzard often misleading players into excitement for future content. "Very Soon" is guaranteed to arrive between now and the end of time with a higher chance of arriving on the "now" half of the time table. Although this means closer to now than "soon" there is no guarantee that you will live long enough to see the content finally release. Now<--------------Very Soon--------Soon--------------->End of Time
thr0tt 12 Posted August 5, 2009 (edited) Just counting down now on my few fingers on each hand (5 or 6 using Placebo speak) ;) Oh well, will wait to complain about the lack of the graphical corruption fix for some ATI cards and users /sniffle. ShaiCZ 10 Posted August 5, 2009 Few is "5 or 6" so that would make it Thursday or Friday ;) So nothing's late, yet ;) I agree for the following reasons: 1) An increased activity of moderators. Being all skilled military commanders, we (meaning the entire community here) know that an increased activity of the opposing force can only results in action (=release of 1.03). 2) In the Czech Republic (where I live and where BIS are based), Thrusday is called a "little Friday". It means that people, anticipating weekend already, practically cease working on Thrusday only to chat on Friday and leave workplace immediatelly after lunch:o) No, theres not going to be anyone in BIS on Friday, the PATCH IS COMING OUT TOMMOROW!!!!! Mark my words;o)
cashxx 10 Posted August 5, 2009 Doesn't sound like 1.03 is going to fix the BSOD and CTD issues.....nice!

Mark my words;o) Ahh yes, the opposing force launches an attack which gives everyone what they want. I think the last time that happened was when a German battalion were on drugs during ww2. They got paranoid a thought the russians were attacking and opened fire with everything they had. By morning, when the Russians actually attacked, they had no ammo left and were forced to surrender.... Wait, why did I start this story again?
froggyluv 2135 Posted August 5, 2009 Newsflash: Patch 1.03 is already released, but it's only available to free masons and the members of some fictional secret societies. Hmmm... *prepares self to join the Initiate Select*
thr0tt 12 Posted August 5, 2009 Doesn't sound like 1.03 is going to fix the BSOD and CTD issues.....nice! Make sure you have crash dumps enabled then download http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed this wil enable you to see exactly what caused the crash and which driver/conflict it appeared to have, it may also help you work out if it is indeed the game causing the issue. CTD is an undocumented feature they leave in for show.

Steakslim 1 Posted August 5, 2009 Damn, I can never remember the funny secret handshake... Jason Bateman at the risk of his own life, leaked the secret handshake on film in the movie Smoking Aces. There was a rigged explosive in the pink paper mache rabbit head that failed to go off.
wooly-back-jack 10 Posted August 5, 2009 http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_2:_Patch_v1.03 I like the ploy, have poor users sat there all night refreshing that page instead of these forums lol :D
