Great job you're doing there Rhodesy!

Can't wait to have those in the jungles of Lingor.

would be nice if you would give them helmet straps like these:

Anyone can guess what I'm now working on?

:)

And, yes, it moves, it fires and planes and choppers can attachto it!!!

Duuude you can attach planes and helicopters to it? Can you fire them out of the barrel too?

That aside, that is awesome if it does indeed move as you say and functions, more naval ships especially ones that are more than just displays are always a great feature..you don't see them at all these days.

Yes. I especially like the artistic stretching and the errant edges that conjoin one seemingly purposeful 'island' to another on the other side of the uv space.

I think Lennard may have been refering to the strap holding the helmet on the guys head rather than the band round the helmet. So like the chin starp ect... Could be wrong though.

The current strap you've got on there is that for the LWMH. I believe Lennard would like you to give it PASGT straps. :)

That is exactly what I meant, wasn't really clear.

But that helmet band is a nice addition also, gives the helmet more of a shape.(if you get what I mean :p)

Nevermind, different woodland variation I guess..though out of curiosity is there a reason the camo has a gridline?

Testing my own camo based on real camo used by Slovak Armed Forces in Afghanistan, not very accurate though, but created without using camo images as base texture, so I am happy with the result. :)

A simple model to practice high-poly modeling on. Its a thermal monocular supposed to be like this:

http://www.nightvisionsystems.com/prod/prodDetail.aspx?ID=231&from=6

The lowpoly in the picture is ~2600 triangles and the texture is a single 1024^2 diffuse map + the baked normal map.

The high poly is here and its ~350,000triangles:

Yano.t11: thanks for the links. The only problem is that I dont know anything about making own models, so its just the retexture for now.
