Yeah the models are from ard's SASR addon, I have quite a few different retextures of them, as Rhodesy said those ones are a quick Iraqi SF one I did this arvo, so they still ahve white faces.

Sabre, you should release those man! They would fit in great with the Takistani conflict. Maybe include some Afghanistan Army Special Forces.

I just love your reskins so much, I wanna see them ingame! :D

What SEAL is this withie TF86 SEALs??? I haven't seen him before in using that mod...

The body is the TF86 Navy SEAL pack. The head is a custom face for a TF86 member.

@Sabre...really liking the Iraqi SF

Yeah, lol, I can see the immediate coincidence evident by the posters in this thread; alas, a name is but a name and we'd have just as much fun whether we were called task force 87, 101 or 69

It was a rather insane operation in all, 4 hours of long range vehicle patrol culminating in a pretty intense para-rescue scenario, easily the most coop fun I've had since Operation Flashpoint days

Bit of a shame I forgot to take any photos during the mission itself, infact

Which town is this? It's like tens or a hundred Town Construction Kit modules placed in one map at the same time!

Icebreakr- That looks pretty awesome. Though I don't think they should have that rifle or RPG. I think the best solution would be to create some kinda of cloak device and then bump up their running speed and make it so they sprint up to you and claw you or something, now THAT would be badass and alot more suspenseful!! Please consider this!

IceBreakr, pretty funny, reminds me of the T800 addon in OFP that was unstoppably strong

Its a slayer not a predator <grin>!

This one is without any fancy movies cloak systems (need help *win) and mask that you see in Hollywood... so he relies only on a handheld laser rifle not much stronger than our weapons. If anyone would be willing to help (I need info how to add 5 random ambient sounds to the character - growls etc.) msg me PM with your communicator username (MSN/ICQ/Skype).

Enad: I know all that, I just don't have time to figure out all that configs and scripts, help needed

DaveP: it can take a full clip from m16/ak47, one M203 round usually kills him. I've heard they descend to Island of Lingor and hunt in large numbers, especially after last hunting fiasco (Predators *hint*).

p.s. blood is flouroscent-green ;)

Actually it's only one town construction kit. See Fox's post.

Since this is probably most pertinent to those that would be using these topics I'll post a minor warning that I've suffered from as of late, just in case anyone else gets it:

It appears that one of the adverts on imageshack.us can at times install a fake virus scanner malware called "Anti vir solution pro"; be rest assured this is in no way an actual virus program, the warnings it creates are false and it is an insidiously annoying program. To avoid it you're best of running an adblocker when using imageshack.us

If you're unfortunate as I was and catch the bug, the method for removal is as follows:

-Restart computer in safe mode

-Open internet explorer, Options > Connection Options > LAN settings> Uncheck the "use proxy server" box

-Run a program like Malwarebyte's Anti Malware Scanner to remove it (do a search for it)

Just a heads up

Also, with regards to:

Wow DaveP..may I ask what exactly you did to make the pictures look like that?

Short answer: 2 and a half years of photography and media technology course ;)

Long answer:

-> As far as post processing goes in Photoshop I have a general template that I work with consisting of the following:

-Three levels adjustment layers of various shades of dark that I then use with masks to make certain areas of texture and shadow appear darker

-A solid black layer which I make into a vignette using a mask and gradient tool

-A colour balance layer I apply to the whole image that pushes cyan-ey green in the shadows and orange in the highlights

-Another colour balance layer that I apply just to the areas of sky in the image (using a layer mask) that pushes cyan-ey blue more

-A channel mixer adjustment layer set to monochrome with a lowish opacity that I use to get a bleach bypass look

-An exposure adjustment layer that slightly lowers the exposure and contrast of the image

-A tinted colour fill over the top to give a slight yellow-ey brown look to the dark areas

For shots with depth of field, depth maps were manually made using layer masks and gradient tool, and then the Lens Blur filter was used

On top of this I photoshop out game UI elements.

In game I use medium-high ish graphics settings (I am still playing the operation, despite the occasional photo moments)

When taking photos I take the same compositional thought and eye into account as I do when taking real photos

As to the situations, that's just down to a fun group and good mission making, all the events that you see here happened in one night's game and were played out, no staging, and I wasn't even there for the end.

@DaveP I enjoy your ingame pics mate. If only we could get Arma2 looking like that.

And don't worry, I barely take Arma screen anymore so won't be doing a copy cat again ;)
