overcharger 0 Posted May 20, 2009 The overall quality of this mod is simply amazing. You did a great effort on voice acting too. If you see the comments and bugs reported here, It looks like everything can be resolved (almost everything but voices xD). I've been playing CWC campaing and have no bugs to report until now. All works really well. By the other side, remember, OFP AI is simply better than Arma AI. Don't expect to feel the same feelings and inmersion you felt when you played OFP for the first time. Thanks for this oustanding effort. PD: I was playing original OFP campaings with WW4 mod when you released CWR.
william1 0 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) actually it is possible to use the islands without CWR mod, you only have to split the whole mod into 2 different mod folders , one with the proper islands addons and other with the rest of CWR mod. then when yo want to play CWR mod activate the 2 mod folders and when you want to play default Arma , activate only the mod folder with the islands addons Edited May 20, 2009 by william1
Zipper5 74 Posted May 20, 2009 You did a great effort on voice acting too. The voice acting wasn't done by us. It's the voices from Operation Flashpoint: Elite, the Xbox version of OFP. Sadly, they kinda suck. But glad to see you're enjoying it!

There is a reason why we have all in one package. Like I said before: We will decide if we release the islands as stand-alone pack. Just don't expect it in the next 48h. In the meantime play the campaigns/missions or make some new one ;)
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted May 20, 2009 Uh, W0lle - is FLAGFIGHTGUNS included?
W0lle 1051 Posted May 20, 2009 (edited) Jeez one could think your life depends on it. No, as far as I can tell it's not included. Not with that filename atleast. If you give me a link to it I guess I can convert it real quick for you. :) Edit: Found that mission, converted. Edited May 20, 2009 by W0lle
Misfit Leader 1 Posted May 20, 2009 So many post i didn't check them all. There is an error in the story of "undercover" mission of flashpoint campaign. The civilian truck get arrested at "vernon" not at "saint pierre". Then footstep up the hill at right side of the road and then proceed to castle. It's nothing worse. The modification you do isn't bad but it's so close with the castle ruins The enemy will localize it quickly if you do so :) There is also a mission where we have to set a camp at the moule (it's the third mission i think, if you don't count the training camp). The mission begins in a town but in the CWR it begins in the middle of nowhere (understand outside a town along the road). Not a critical problem too ;) Still a good conversion of the flashpoint mission spirit.
W0lle 1051 Posted May 20, 2009 The missions are slightly different to the ones from OFP because we were using the Xbox missions.
RUDOLF 9 Posted May 21, 2009 I got a strange thing in the game. Not sure whether it's just for me. When I put BMP-1 in the game, the missle on the turret would linger away from the turret and just like in the sky around it.
W0lle 1051 Posted May 21, 2009 Another guy @ armed-assault.de had the same problem. He fixed it by simply reinstalling CWR.
fingolfin 1972 Posted May 21, 2009 The winter island error we know about. It will be fixed in the next patch. The racs units, this is stumping us at the moment. Do you have any other mods running ? Like QG? I have QG running with CWR but have no problems with the resistance troops.
Maddmatt 1 Posted May 21, 2009 Is it just me or 'After Montignac' is a hell of a lot easier than original OFP? The distance I have to travel seems very short. All I really needed to do was sneak over to the forest across the road. Got shot once in the leg but that was it, I fired no shots. Most of the mission is cut? I guess BIS made things easier for the Xbox version. Understandable I guess, the original mission was a nightmare for a new player as it was so early in the campaign. Seems the campaign was made easier overall.
W0lle 1051 Posted May 21, 2009 (edited) I just compared the two in ArmA and OFP. Indeed, in the Xbox/CWR version you start in a completely different forest way closer to the destination. Edit: Added a little poll. ;) Edited May 21, 2009 by W0lle
Binkowski 26 Posted May 21, 2009 Voted, I'm a veteran :D!
william1 0 Posted May 21, 2009 a little predisposed the poll isn't it ? :icon_lol: chicken coward ---> 0 :cry2: veteran killingmachine --->
xxbbcc 6 Posted May 21, 2009 I think most missions I played so far are *MUCH* easier than in OFP. I love CWR, it's truly awesome, but there's a strong need for some AI enhancement. In most missions, AI is just standing while they get shot. (I played with only 1.16 - no other addons.)
Xanthus 0 Posted May 21, 2009 After Montignac is one of the most memorable experiences for me, because it was so brutal compared to what was prior to it in the campaign. I rage uninstalled the game maybe 3 times before I managed to complete it :). I also had a little problem with tank missions in the campaign, somehow I couldn't order the gunner to switch weapons while commanding. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised by how well everything worked so far, allthough CWR gives me different vibes compared to OFP, it's still a blast to play. It's a shame that model quality is fairly inconsistent, but that's kinda expected for a mod of such scale. I don't remember that cutscene with Victor Troska in old CWC campaign, was it taken from OFP:E or is it your own creative work?
Maddmatt 1 Posted May 21, 2009 I also had a little problem with tank missions in the campaign, somehow I couldn't order the gunner to switch weapons while commanding. Hold down the space key for giving orders to the gunner. Space + F will switch weapons. You can see the weapon selected, ammo count, and have options to load Sabot/HEAT while the space bar is held down. I believe that cutscene was added for OFP: Elite. The campaign is based on the Xbox version I think.
Zipper5 74 Posted May 21, 2009 After Montignac became the After Montignac I remembered once I ran back to the wood you originally started in for OFP. The patrols that would kill you if you didn't move quick enough were still there, as was the BMP and infantry around Provins, and the huge amount of infantry and that T72 past Figari. But I voted for the nightmare one, of course.
W0lle 1051 Posted May 21, 2009 I added a little icon set for your desktop shortcut, check first post for download link. ;) We release a bugfix for Winter Kolgujev later today, too. I think a few pages back I already said it. The difficulty level is extremely hard to set. If we set it too high it might be frustrating because the AI spot you all and everywhere, if we make it too easy then it's boring. I used more or less the same skill level for all units as they were in OFP/Elite, with one exception: All units have their rank set to Corporal. This alone should make it a bit harder because in OFP the Riflemen were mostly Privates. If it's too easy, then change the AI skill level in your difficulty options. Somone, somewhere said the sliders are not working there. I haven't checked that. In this case, edit your username.ArmAProfile file in a texteditor and change the values there. Changing all the skill level in all the missions again is something I want avoid if possible, we're talking here about ~30 missions that needs to be edited. @Xanthus We use the Xbox campaign files in almost every mission and cutscene, except a few CWC Campaign missions. The vote seems pretty clear... Guess we replace it by the original mission then. :)
Marijus 0 Posted May 21, 2009 Super, I like it :inlove: About voting: my opinion, original missions is be beter...
-)rStrangelove 0 Posted May 21, 2009 Rough edges? The only thing i had to get used to are the new voices. I've never played OpF ELITE, so i constantly notice sentences being toned differently. On another hand, the sound quality of the new voices is really good so i'm not really complaining! :D
Flanker15 0 Posted May 21, 2009 Great Job Guys! Just wondering: Weren't the Heavy AT lock on weapons in OFP and didn't the RPG/LAW light AT fire without much smoke and just a little thunk noise? (it's pretty hard to track the shot with all the smoke and it sounds like a missile!)
Fanatic72 181 Posted May 21, 2009 Aight so I've tried to reinstall it...and I still have those RACS bastards there...not using any mods...have anyone solved this problem already? Its really annoying...cuz I can't continue the campaign. Could you tell me whats the name of the file with resistance units? Just to check if its there...
