Haven't seen it either. And I knew there was a aircraft carrier!

About the age of the build, video uploader claims the video is from q4 2008, so its already kinda old.

I really hope they are doing some progress on a more fluent radio speech.

"Nice weather, isn't it?"

"Support that Sykes at 7 o'clock!"

Microsoft Sam, FTW!

In all seriousness, I am really looking forward to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship, along with the U.S. Navy crew on board. (I am obsessed with the U.S. Navy)

Even though the video is from November 2008, and already the animations, models and graphics look superb! I loved the way that Cooper picked up Sykes and put him on his back. Also, the Osprey and F-35 look spectacular!

I have no problem with the sprint animation. It looks better than the ArmA 1 sprint animation, in my opinion.

Oh, and one more thing. Is it me or do the U.S. Marines in ArmA 2 look an awful like the Jonny's Marines addon?

Im not a big fan of that new sprint animation. It looks odd. Watch the guy when the T-72 shows up and is rolling down the hill. Right before it takes a rocket hit he is running very odd. Other than that, and the swimming guy, I think it looks great.

I was thinking the same thing, didn’t leave a great impression.

It was nice to get a little look at the carrier.  biggrin_o.gif

Last week, the update was released on Thursday, but late at night for most people.

So don't worry. wink_o.gif

Hi all

I think that video answered a lot of questions about ArmA II.

Obvious medical improvements, AI seems to move a lot better, improved controls, the game seems to run well even though that is an Alpha from last year. yay.gif

Top banana!

Kind Regards Walker

I'm glad that the M-14 is going to be added into the game.

I hope the conversation system has its own menu box, so the interaction menu box is less "cluttered."

Also, judging by the video, player movement seems more smooth and effecient compared to ArmA 1.

Looks like ArmA2 will have a vanilla carrier

The sprint animation make the vision feel like a troll walking hehe

Seems like Tanks can still slide..

Hi all

Seems to have had a general clean up and improvement of the interface. Unit icons are more legible. Unit control improved.

MFD for aircraft looks like a big improvement, if we add in the possibility to remove the OFP HUD options, or better still user configurable HUDs it may make flight simulation a little more realistic.

Kind Regards walker

More like,

47528415.jpg

The carrier in the German YouTube video was a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship from what I could tell.

It was definately not a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier.

Yes, it would be very very good.

I prefer tiny icon instead to have a more realistic view of the game.

To have configurable HUDs/icons would be excellent!

I see the tanks still haven't been fixed. Small details like the turret rotation. It seems to be totally independant of the tank's capabilites when the hull is turning fast.

And again it seems as if all crew members are doing their own thing in a way. Not very optimized AI.
