Pack of rusian architecture (Version 1.0)

Studio -=SARMAT=- presents you Pack of rusian architecture (Version 1.0)

Corrections:

- Geometry lods

- Viev geometry & Fire geometry lods

- Scale is corrected

Added:

- Select of the soldier positions in the buildings

- Shadows of the objects

- 1 new building

- Shop is opened now

The russian architecture pack includes 35 different objects.

It contains models created by SARMAT and models, converted from the other games.

We do not claim for the authorship modells, converted from other games and ask to take this correctly.

We don't wanted to glorified at the expense of others' work. We wanted to introduce some new and beautiful to ArmA.

We hope this objects will help you in creating of missions, campaigns, islands, videos abd screen-arts.

Thank you soooo much for these!

I loved them in the beta, but figured that it would be way too much work to do all the lods and ai positions.  Then poof!  Here they are ready to go. biggrin_o.gif

Can't want to check them out again tonight!!!

Now, if only someone could give the same treatment to Simba's building pack (with lods, ai positions, etc)...

If anyone missed Simba's excellent pack, you can find it here.  There are tons of beautifully broken down and derelict buildings in there too.  IIRC, he gave permission if anyone wished to complete them.  IMO, both this pack and Simba's are full of jaw-dropping, amazing, completely wrecked out buildings, and I feel they would be a perfect fit for one another.  I can't thank the creators of both packs enough.

By combining this excellent pack with a completed version of Simba's, we could really get some unbelievably wrecked out cities, the likes of WWII Stalingrad... or a post-apocalyptic zombie infested future... or life after WW3... you name it! wow_o.gif

cannot play the demo mission, its giving an error:

you cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.INP_UNITS, Sarmat_ERA_102

Any idea Sarmat team or Smersh?

Hi, i haven't try yet this buildings, but the previous version had

many many buildings in which you wasn't able to enter, for example

the Big University, or the Church; also if you placed yourself inside,

then you fallen through the floor until the ground under the building.

So you wasn't able of enter or exit, or even place AI's inside, i hope

that this has or gonna change in the future, this buildings are just

great and very needed, they fit perfectly in islands like Uhao to

islands like Avgani v1.2 making 'em look even better. But, as this

pack is unsigned... it isn't MP friendly, and that's a point as bad as

the previous ones, which as i've said, it's what i seen on the previous

pack. And i'll like to be able of use this buildings in MP, and fully

enterable/walkable so we can bring some real war to the ArmA

instead fight arround buildings that work as the empty cookies

boxes that we used for play with our damn star wars toys when

we was young, and put crackers all arround the place and send

luck skywalker to something close to Vietnam; in a smaler scale

and with the storm troopers as Vietcongs. Let's C ya

Excuse , the demo-mission from the beta version, therefore demands addition.

Well done SMERSH smile_o.gif I was surprised to find with the beta the shear amount of building I could place. It would actually perform better than BI models from what I've seen.

I gave them a try and they are really nice looking.

But there is one big problem: You can shoot trough most buildings and they are all indestructable...

Try it with an m1a1 for example, you can shoot sabot right trough it sad_o.gif

I think you forgot the fire geometry for the buildings?

(the wrecked cars work fine btw)

I checked out the changes last night.  Overall a huge improvement from the beta!

However, I did find a few walls you could still walk through and a few floors you fall through.  Also, I checked out the AI positions and unfortunately, when I ordered my AIs to enter them, they got stuck trying to enter probably 80% of the time and could not enter the buildings.  Also the fences are a huge problem for the AI. (i.e. They won't go inside).

Speaking of the fences, is there a possibility of breaking them out from the models?  Those buildings would be far more versatile that way.  Likewise for the miscellaneous outlying objects and debris... plus if you want to build on a hillside, all that stuff ends up elevated above the ground.

Keep up the good work though... I have confidence these buildings will eventually get there. smile_o.gif

edit:

You've probably already done this to some extent, but I'd certianly want to dePBO and see how BIS managed it's wrecked buildings, because they work flawlessly.

Very nice and atmospheric buildings!

Do these buildings even have resolution LODs? They have terrible performance which renders them useless in any urban setting. I'll wait till next release and see if they're improved performance wise. Other than that they look absolutely fantastic.
