Shadow NX 1 Posted September 16, 2007 Omg cant we finally cut out that crap??? I dont even wanna know how many un perfect products you bought ( for me it been a lot ) so far but ArmA is the big drama? The ArmA sales probably werent that good so they lowered the price fast to make more sales... sow what? Next time maybe just wait till you hear that a game works well and buy it then or be a fan and buy it and be part of its evolution.
Scrub 0 Posted September 16, 2007 Omg cant we finally cut out that crap???I dont even wanna know how many un perfect products you bought ( for me it been a lot ) so far but ArmA is the big drama? Thank you. (Soldner, DF series (#2?... yeesh!, BF series hardware and hacks, Gunship, M1 tank platoon 2.. Good enough) QGs' campaign will be good enough for me, if it's polished. That's my only concern. I'd like to see an offering from BIS that really shows off their capacities of finish quality and detail. Kind of knock the pants off naysayers. MEDICUS 0 Posted September 16, 2007 Omg cant we finally cut out that crap??? Yeah, ... i'm sorry. Just a bit frustrated every now and then. I'll buy QG anyway.
Madus_Maximus 0 Posted September 16, 2007 If this was any normal run of the mill clone shooter that you'd play for a week tops then people wouldn't moaning they paid £35 a year later for it, then £20 for a half assed expansion pack that adds... well, nothing really, just the need to get it if you want to still play it online with others. For the price you paid (even if it was full new game price) and the ammount of hours play you've got out of it it's really negligable. You can't really say £14.99 is bank breaking, and if it is to you then you have more important things to worry about than hoping for bug fixes, such as "how can I pay the electric?" Shadow NX 1 Posted September 16, 2007 From what the german Gamestar mag wrote it seems that QG has a lot better story than the original ArmA campaign wih lots of dubbed cutscenes and personal characters. Sounds good to me.
BLSmith2112 0 Posted September 16, 2007 Not buying it until I can play it. I put my foot down there.
ebud 18 Posted September 16, 2007 Haha, good luck with that one. If you play it first that would mean you got it "abnormally". I seriously doubt you'll be able to demo it. Some people crack me up.
Balschoiw 0 Posted September 16, 2007 Translation from sneak preview: Armed Assault: Queen's Gambit The 1st addon for the tactical shooter Armed Assault contains 2 campaigns. »Rahmadi Conflict« is the name of the small campaign, consisting of 3 missions only. You´re taking the role of a US soldier as usual. Unusual is the difficulty level (high!. More thrilling, longer and even more unconventional: The campaign »Royal Flush«. In this one you´re taking the role of the mercenary Kurt Lambowski who is at first doing his job for the new queen of Sahrani accompanied by his team. Pretty soon they change sides and from now on fight for the brother of the queen who was assumed dead. Royal Flush consists of 7 missions only, in wich you have to take control of a radio-station, free prisoners from a camp, etc. What´s interesting about this campaign is the fact that there are no big warmachines at your disposal. From time to time you have to visit a weapondealer to get the right equipment for the mission at hand. Especially outstanding about Royal Flush are numerous cutscenes that are dubbed at a very high level and not only introduce the characters to you but make you feel close to the characters -- despite or just because of the rude tone they have. Gamestar Sneak Preview I´ve done this translation on-the-fly, so don´t hold my liable for any shortcommings Just wanted to share it. I´m getting it. 15 Euro are a fair share I guess and keeping in mind that the guys responsible for the campaign already got my attention with the very well done "Alpha Prime" already made me interested when I first heard about it. Cannon Fodder 0 Posted September 16, 2007 Thanks for the translation - much appreciated. I too am looking forward to this, because I simply cannot get enough of good single player ArmA missions. There's nothing to compare with ArmA in a well-produced mission.

smellyjelly 0 Posted September 17, 2007 But BIS isn't making this, I thought it was Idea Games or something? How much money would BIS get? I'll defintely wait for reviews, but if it's good, I'll probably get it for Christmas.

Seriously, i cant remember *anyone* saying that about Red Hammer, and RH didnt even have any addons, just a crappy campaign. The biggest complaint about the ArmA campaign is the lack of story/character development, it seems like BI listened to us about that so ill just get it, its not like its expensive or anything, but hey, you dont have to get it so just shut up. SeppSchrot 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Quote[/b] ]"along with a new resource management feature" http://www.worthplaying.com/article....order=0 any ideas what this means, or is it just the gun dealer idea after it? Considering the context, resource management can mean anything from Counterstrike-simple <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">collect credit points by killing terr0ristz and buy better gunz and a complex money-income-research-recruit-train-motivate managent interface like in JaggedAlliance2 or Ufo:EnemyUnknown. I'd bet it will be somewhat in between though
