Danbri 0 Posted September 6, 2007 I have to say that its more embarresing to check in on a "BI" forum at work . Then I´m glad IF there are som naked women!
mr burns 132 Posted September 6, 2007 ^^ Had that sig since yesterday, kind of a welcome back present to placebo because he once told me to remove it - i simply had to test if the "unbannable" status works. Just to clarify that i´m not intentionally fooling around with this thread
BraTTy 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Woah Avonlady back !!!!!! Nice to see you. I like women for sure , I haven't seen nothing too too bad. But I have to agree. Back in the day when OFP new addons were active, it was a everyday thing to check out the topics and pics of new addons. I just had to sit here , my deaf (very observant) son (is now 7) would do all the scrolling and clicking for me. He loves vehicles so yes , just keep it clean He is busy with his own computer but my children are often with me at mine

I've had many a funny look at work, as well as a curious glance from the missus when she saw the firefox tab labled as 'BI forum'... [b said: Quote[/b] ]Where do you live? Nazi Germany? It's quite common actually. Maybe not the harrasment as much, but in most workplaces I've been through, anything that can vaguely relate to being pornographic/explicit or a bit too... ermmm...'naughty' is liable to land you in trouble. lets face it, old man Henning wouldn't be so happy if he caught me apparently looking at women's bottoms while I'm meant to be working. [b said: Quote[/b] ]GET BACK TO WORK! work is 50% slacking/looking like you're doing work. Today I managed to spend 1 hour cutting the same piece of a model because I wanted to go home at 5. I agree with Winters. I've had a couple of complaints about the signature you see below (or dont see below if you've had the sense to disable signatures if you feel offended by such content). Infact, my signature was the subject of a near-two-page discussion in the "Ask a Moderator" thread. The fact that the moderators took the same "Its not nudity so its alright" stance says it all. Hoot1988 0 Posted September 6, 2007 before i discover book marks and links on firefox i had to google BI forum. if any friends or colleagues were watching many of the options were to other sorts of BI forums lol. anyway whos got tities on their stig? cept of course jackal whos are nearly fully clothed:D
Col. Faulkner 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Such "glamour" material is permitted by the board rules and accepted by moderators. There ends the argument, unless one wants to negotiate by PM with the moderators for the board rules to be changed. I don't have any problem with the posting of such material, but, at the same time, it's true that the forum would not suffer at all from its prohibition. Why advertise one's lack of sophistication and risk offending someone over a picture of some stupid slapper?
SASR Sabre 0 Posted September 6, 2007 im more worried about when i view these forums at work (like now) at some pages it says BI FORUMS at the top or on the tab, now i dont want my co-workers thinking im that way inclined

ArmaVidz 0 Posted September 7, 2007 As long as the sig doesn't break the forum rules re: nudity I think the simple answer would be 'not to view these forums while you're at work.' Why make the remainder of the thousands/hundreds of people pay for other peoples poor work ethic? (lol I have done this, I admit).
lilwillie 47 Posted September 7, 2007 Stewy, nice to see some members gave you the process to keep your work place from having a meltdown. It's sad that we are in a day and age where someone can be "offended" by such a normal thing you would see in every day life. But with work place laws geared the way they are these days it's always better to be safe then sorry. Which is why I have zero employees to worry about offending But if you think employees can be offended easily you should see how easy customers can become offended
Mr_Tea 0 Posted September 7, 2007 I use Adblock Plus to "disable" avatars or sigs that are annoying for any reason. But i don`t want to disable all of that complete, and with Firefox and Adblock Plus that can be done with no problem.

A Danish newspaper's legal right to express its freedom of speech in it's country has nothing to do with pretty ladies' boobs and bottoms.

If you think worrying about semi naked women in sigs is bad try this: I am in a LOMAC (flight sim) squad. We have a squad member that has been OFFICIALLY disciplined at work (a local Govt. authority in the UK) for viewing "undesireable" web content. ......Fine you'd think if he'd been browsing porn sites..... But the "undesireable" site was our very own forums!! His work had installed software on their server that flags up employees browsing sites that contain any swear words..... And it caught onto a few in posts on our forums. First he knew of it was when he got called into his supervisors office and given a warning letter to sign!! Moral of the story: Think carefully before using work PC's to browse internet forums.... You never know who (or what) is logging your internet activities!! Shadow NX 1 Posted September 7, 2007 Ok but how is that connected to the sexy sig discussion? If he works in a big company he maybe should think twice before he surfs the web freely or at least ask someone what is tolerated and whats not. Also i doubt people are worried about soem semi naked chicks in signature but more the fact you browse the web instead of work which is pretty obvious if you have a colourfull game forum on the screen at work. The best solution for those with such problems may be to find the option in their control panel to simply disable avatars and signatures. I work in a tiny shop so noone really cares what i look at when nothing is to do, at least one benefit in this job
Balschoiw 0 Posted September 7, 2007 [b said: Quote[/b] ]After reading this thread i have a urge to make me some sexy sig somehow. My thoughts aswell. I am an offender aswell Warning, contains disturbing image... Seriously, if you surf the web (which is indeed a reason to get fired ) during your worktime you should be smart enough to disable the sig´s if the y do so much harm. Initially I though this thread would get locked by a thinking Mod as it has nothing to do with Arma->General at all. It wouldn´t even make enough story for Off-Topic imo. Heatseeker 0 Posted September 7, 2007 I havent seen anything here that you wont find in the lingerie section of a clothing catalog or fashion magazine really, this is probably one of those women things? But i find myself ofended very often around here . Threads such as this one make me feel something down there sometimes . Anyway this is asked, answered and offtopic imo.
