Is there a way on Ikonboard to add a youtube video to a post? Like on vB and phpBB and some other boards you can implement the video directly into a post. Is this possible with this forum software?

yah its possible its been done several times already in video section.

Use the Flash tags. Most videos will work with it.

can the addons creation section of the forum have all references to OFP removed, so that there is no confusion that it is a place for both arma and ofp related questions.

at the moment certain members who are a little confused, are posting 10 or so seperate threads for very minor questions in the addons and mods complete/discussion, without searching these existing forums and posting in those relevant places.

I am quoting a moderator and i agree it should be kept in private and indeed was , until the moderator brought it to the public domain.

the moderator in question is in my sig that was changed/deeted. by said moderator.

And to make the point again its the nature in which a private pm was quoted / reffered to in the public domain that is my complaint not my sig.

Its solved, the same moderator simply raided my account again and did what ever they wanted , i dont see any rule i have broken and as my attempts to point the offence out are failing , i will just keep stum.

I was recently updating my avatar when I stumbled upon something that I found totally outrageous: an avatar entitled uploaded_croc.

I am afraid that I will get banned for posting the gruesome image on this forum because it is just so awful.

I propose that whoever did this be banned, for they have violated the forum rules of:

I agree with blackdog. The decision to allow the upload of avatars was not very wise in my humble opinion. Be prepared for people to do the unspeakable .

Hmmm... but what does it change? People can use an avatar of their choice even when no upload functionality is provided? In both cases the moderators need to moderate the avatars too.

Of course, you can just disable avatars completely so that solves it

Yeah, but then at least these "rule breaking" avatars won't be using BIS webspace anymore

It's like Youtube having copyrighted material on it, but to a lesser extent (only the "law" of this forum applies). BIS is not a free host for things that break their terms of use on their own websites or forums, it's not in their interest.

I'm not (and I don't think very many others are) too concerned about saving 1/16 of a second on page load times mate.
