But anyways looks like a good decision for the team imo. The devs really have some nice mod support. Hope BIS eventually releases whatever you need to get a mod up on here also.

I'd understand you if it was NHL 94 - 07...but Crysis is a pretty fun game, and you're preventing yourself from enjoying it from your bias.

It'd be like saying "I don't buy Atari games, so I won't purchase Armed Assault".

Its not necessarily that we are giving up, we do hope to return eventually to give a few things. However the reason we are moving is because of how much we can benefit from Crysis more then Arma.

A small list of examples being-

Lighting that gives the right mood and feel

Ability to use underground structures.

Interiors don't have the nasty HDR problem

Interiors can benefit more thanks to the engines lighting abilities, giving us the chance to set the right mood for desired situations.

Water is more useable because you can swim in all directions, dive and there are also rivers, giving us the chance to use water for our missions much more and more fluidly.

Enviroments can be more dynamic and the engine has a great dynamic system.

From what I'v been told the dinosaurs will be easier to animate and there is much more, so you can see, we aren't moving just because of graphics but because of ability, its not a choice all of us made lightly.

I'm glad you guys will have the tools to fit your needs now. And since the mod itself will be free and will take time to release, people don't need to buy an EA game right now if they don't want to.

The mod teams with OFP/ARMA in their blood will be the teams I'll want to check out in future, no matter what game they choose to use in the end. They already know what elements make good games.

If this team had a COD or HALO backround I doubt many here would be caring about it.
