andersson 285 Posted December 24, 2007 About the functional displays, will there be some display with altitude? Arma only displays height above ground, not the altitude. During bad weather I sometimes really miss that input when I want to make sure I wont crash into a hill or a mountain.. To have both would help alot!
Tankbuster 1747 Posted December 24, 2007 Oh, you mean have a radar altimeter as well as a "height above sea level" indicator? It'd certainly be useful.

EricJ 765 Posted December 26, 2007 I've recently started flying helos myself, and while not like another sim, it's pretty fun flying the UH-60, though the Ka-50 is too rickety for me anyways.

Guest RKSL-Rock Posted January 1, 2008 From Rock's Youtube pageimg]http://www.techbrigade.org/images/rkslyoutube.gif[/img] What's an Apache AH1 and do I get a prize for discovering the typo? Its not a typo - An "Apache AH1" is the UK designation for the WAH-64D. SOURCE 1 - British Army Website SOURCE 2 - Wikipedia So no you dont get a prize! Â Here's the Video that inspired the Puma Video. Jeremy Clarkson, A Lotus Exige vs Apache AH1 The Puma video was filmed when i was screwing around in MP with a mate of mine. Â We were debating how useful/maneoverable the Puma was. Â We had a lot of fun and Kyle stopped bleating about the Blackhawk being better.
the_shadow 0 Posted January 1, 2008 whats the difference between the brittish Puma and the AS 332?
Guest RKSL-Rock Posted January 1, 2008 whats the difference between the brittish Puma and the AS 332? The 332 is a 'newer' model, a "growth" version of the SA.330 (The HC1 equates to 330E). The AS332 is fitted with more powerful twin 1330kW Turbomeca Makila 1A1 turbine engines, composite rotor blades, improved landing gear and modified tail fin. The nose is a different configuration, extended and more pointed. Â The fuselage is usually stretched (AS332L1) but there are also short versions (AS332C1) . There is also a large 'ventral fin' on the tail boom. Â The cockpit and avionics are also much improved.
