Kenwort 0 Posted March 3, 2008 Yeah, I only just got around to joining stage6 when it closed, bummer! a lot of people seem to be looking at veoh as an alternative, quality is a lot better than youtube but thats not difficult. Problem is these places have absolutely no community to speak of when it comes to PC game movies or any virtual movies.I've seen a load of Arma movies up there already some from guys here uploaded by someone else, mostly been there for months with only one or two hits, some with no hits at all, same applies to most flight sim movies. Don't forget about ArmA Movie Makers We try to gather most of arma and ofp movies from youtube and other places and we host high quality ofp/arma movies. We have tutorials and download a forum to discuss movie making and other related things to arma/ofp. We accept tutorial request. However you may have heard about armatube, yet it was a failure to deliver a normal bandwidth and quality to the movies just because the server limitations. BUT I'm planning to continue this project with more into it, create a arma/ofp video upload/share website using higher quality than youtube's videos and keeping the same size as youtube vids. But thats in future.. a website like that requires a powerful dedicated server but dedicated server are not cheap and I can't afford it at the moment but I'm working my way up with other projects to realize this one Visit arma movie makers, lets make the arma movie making community more wider. GAU-8 0 Posted March 12, 2008 a test FILM demo.. something i am trying out for a bit. it is using L. FRANCOIS "E.C.S." (Enhanced Configuration System). volumetric fog/weather weather, sound, speech, AI (ruthless, and very smart! burning men from armor, many many many things..men aoften talk to each other (and make sense , in the background) commments on seeing enemies/situation sounds "real" and lifelike not acted. its not a true film, again, more of a film technique demo, using his ECS for somethign official maybe later on. but i figured, what the hey, others may enjoy the "test" <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums....MG] SINCE i have NOT talked to the creator in a few months i am assuming i do not have permission to release teh E.C.S download website... it was finished a while back but he did not ever "openly" talk about it. it was distributed between several members but that was it. out of respect for the creator, (until i talk to him) i please ask anyone to remove ANY/ALL E.C.S. download links/sites from the forum. i will say it is safe to keep the download, just do not promote it. again, i am only saying this because I dont know if the creator has a willing reason to release to public or not... (EDIT::::) THE original creators screename online was "JOKER" OR "rss JOKER" from RAZORS SQUAD. from my understanding the "ARMA" side of the squad have disbanded. the rest of the group that is together plays OFP only. cannot find joker anywhere now. mattxr 9 Posted March 13, 2008 its not my "mod" so i am not sure wjhat is in it, but i do know that since i have used E.C.S. i havent had a need to try anything else!not saying nothing is better out there, i just have stopped looking. E.C.S. is it for me. This mod is fecking Awesome! I run with with our servers GOL mod. If you do talk to him and he says its fine, you think you could ask if they have plans on allowing it to work with things like 6thSense's tracers, DM's smoke and Matt's ArmA effects?
