Intis 0 Posted September 9, 2006 I have had opfp since it was released in 2001 and have yet to download a mod or patch my game. I still play religiously, is my game boring compared to rest of yours with all these mods out and enhancements. Please tell me what im missing out on. THis mod community is huge! I have been following the FFUR mod but yet to Download it due to 56k.
the_shadow 0 Posted September 9, 2006 well.... FFUR requires ATLEAST version 1.96 wich is Resistance upgrade + patches so with 1.0, well... you cant use any mod or almost any addon... my reccomendations is to buy resistance or Goty version (wich includes CWC + Resistance) it´s not expensive and you will have a completemy differnt game..... it´s lik playing a old NES game compared to a Xbox game i would say... with addons that is and if you dont want to buy resistance, just wait for Armed Assault wich will be released in November. you could say that ArmA is OFP 2... JdB 151 Posted September 9, 2006 it´s lik playing a old NES game compared to a Xbox game i would say... You mean the fantastic gameplay vs the blurry graphics? I'm suprised someone managed to keep playing for so long without any new content
Big Dawg KS 6 Posted September 9, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Am I missing out? Yes, DEFINATLY. For the love of god, PLEASE buy resistance! Â You're SOOOOOO far behind, I mean just compare the versions: 1.0 vs. 1.96, it's almost a difference of 1.0.

Mr_Tea 0 Posted September 11, 2006 You should be able to order the OFP/GOTY @Amazon for a few bucks.
bionicman303 1 Posted September 11, 2006 Yes, FULLACK to the other comments... If you have a 56k connection and therefore cannot download huge mods, then why don't you simply ask here in the forums for someone who can burn it on a CD/DVD. Then he/she could send it to you via real mail :-) It just depends on where you're living. I guess many people from the OFP community would help you out! greetz

Abs_01 0 Posted September 11, 2006 WOW! You're like our own Rip Van Winkle. You definately need to get up to speed. Try to find Resistance online somewhere. Your best bet is to find a Game of the Year edition. Should be pretty cheap by now. Abs
matt714 2 Posted September 11, 2006 Patching his game would be a good start.

somebloke 0 Posted September 30, 2006 As long as you keep the view distance below 2500 and the land detail to low/very low you'll be fine i'd reckon.
supergruntsb78 67 Posted September 30, 2006 remember that some addons use lots of memeory so it could get laggy

Deusrexmachina 0 Posted October 1, 2006 Will my computer run FFUR 2006? Will it be laggy and slow?My specs 1.0 GHz thunderbird 386 mb sdram Geforce FX 5500 30 gb harddrive Hmmmmmm... I've the same configuration like yours except for the videocard (GeForce 2 MX/MX 400) and harddisk (got a 80Gb several months ago). ECP won't run that smooth though, there will be several lags especially with multiple explosions -they seem so real! Hope you'll manage to get a new PC soon! Or at least Resistence and all the official updates. You can play it with the terrain's detail set on HIGH, and boy if things changes!
