Should the Entire palm tree move including the trunk?

Palm trees have very shallow roots so I think that it does seem kind of accurate.

well i just noticed better and with more attention, all palm tree bounce but the palm trees foliage/leafs don't.. is that what you mean?

I think the palm trees are swaying a bit more than it has too. If the palm tree moves that much than the wind is pretty heavy. And I mean quite strong wind.

Hope they reduce it a little.

if you guys notice the tree shadows dont move at all!! none.

use fast mode...

How much importance does that make in a firefight?

It will only drain preformence from the PC if it sways back and forth.

I guess the way that palms sway is wrong in the first place. There shouldn't be so much movement. Or are the palm trees that week? It was in the video probably just to show us what we can expect, it's not finished yet...

Movement of tree shadows doesn't bother me. The 'patrolling' animation is extremely good and reminds me of real-life footage but if I was to nitpick I'd suggest that the soldiers should look from side to side occasionally ! Maybe they're doing this but it's not obvious from the video.

I don't think unit/object shadows are their top priority right now. I guees they'll be animated too, sooner or later. And if you don't want animated tree shadows? Turn them off wink_o.gif

I think they used a generic type of "sway", for all trees... so these palm trees sway in thesame way as "ofp" trees. I hope they make the level of sway dependand on the "mass" (as in the O2-term) of the tree.

One thing I didn't like about the video.

When shooting the enemy huge round globs of blood came out. Not at all realistic and look rediculous.

Otherwise game seems ok. I'm ready!

Something that I don't want to see is third-person view.

I think this it's a form of visual explotation.

Those palms... sad_o.gif they shouldn't sway like that, only the leaves. Neither should anyother tree sway like that if the trunk is thicker then 10 cm in my opinion. But meh i'll ignore it or mod it, leaves should be swaying not trees. :O
