Major Fubar 0 Posted July 29, 2007 Anyway, I picked up two CDs yesterday, and both are very good. Peeping Tom - Peeping Tom: good album, great for Mike Patton/Faith No More Fans, but maybe a bit TOO exclectic for my tastes... Airbourne - Runnin' Wild: great album. they're total AC/DC knockoffs, but in a good way!
Kirby 2 Posted July 29, 2007 Good idea Fubar. I couldnt find this thread!
Kirby 2 Posted July 29, 2007 doubt it around here You doubt Sum41 fans round here? Why?! Argh why Do I always miss "EDIT".. Well... Fubar double posted... So I supposed once in a while for me will be OK.
Tovarish 0 Posted July 30, 2007 You doubt Sum41 fans round here? Why?! Because if music was the FPS Genre, Sum 41 would be Counterstrike. Sure, some of the people here may enjoy it once in a blue moon, but I doubt many would admit it.
wex-q 0 Posted July 30, 2007 I think Sum41 has like 1 good song.. Though, I haven't listened to them at all, so I can't judge. Otherwise I can reccomend Slipknot and Nine Inch Nails. 2 different genres, 2 different bands, 1 achivement: Kickass music!

sanctuary 19 Posted July 30, 2007 An awesome piece of orchestral music is the one from Clint Mansell : Requiem for a dream. It can be heard in the background of the nice Homeworld 2 trailer video (available on that page ) for the mod "Complex" .

I'm sure your taste in music will some day reach the level of your taste in games. Caught at bluesfest this month, never had heard of e'm before, was a matter of me saying to my buddy "Whatever is playing on that stage sounds better than this one, finish your beer and let's head over". Anyhow, great show, lots of energy - bought their CD on the spot and then a couple of days ago I find out they did the Transformers theme .

mr burns 132 Posted August 1, 2007 Techno4ever mate I don´t know alot of the producers you named, but i´ve noticed that most of the germans appear under multiple names, so who knows.. Raindropz! do some good remixes for sure .. other than that i´m listening to most of t4e.net or technobase.fm ´s tracks. Shashman 0 Posted August 2, 2007 Coming from someone who classes Slipknot and NIN, both bunches of greasy long haired drugged and pi55ed up adults still suffering from teen angst, screaming down a microphone, as two different genres of music... I have one better than a smiley for you... http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i191/mayej/PennTellerSTFU.gif I'd have thought someone of 4 warning levels would be a little more careful about the images they post...600kb? - Fubar

If so, techno is following: Make a beat. Make some wierd screeching noise. Loop it. Make lyrics Invite the smurfs to sing the lyrics Make a point in the song where of 5 seconds you will change the beat. Keep it simple and clean by taking away all except the basic beat, and maybe add in a screaming crowd. Now play the music again (que the smurfs again, so they don't miss it) Save the song and upload it to any site of choice
mr burns 132 Posted August 2, 2007 Come on, it´s just music - at least some people call it like that. The world would be dull if everyone liked the same things.

You obviously don't know what techno is, if that's your way of describing it. For a start, techno very rarely has lyrics. "Weird screeching noise"... That's another interesting statement, coming from someone who listens to men screaming down a mic "Loop it"... Hmmm, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the basis of all MUSIC, a chorus (repeated) and verses (often repeated)? You're thinking of happy hardcore or cheesy euro dance. They're the only genres of electronica which use "smurfs"... I'm talking about TECHNO. P.S. Don't bother responding, I'm done argueing with you. You have no idea what you're talking about and it's just funny
