Jackal326 1182 Posted April 10, 2006 Kobra Reflex on an AR15 platform Kobra Pic We've already established many pages back the "Modified Cobra" in my pack is infact a "C-More" sight, but due to the classnames being called Cobra, I felt it would be foolish to rename the weapons (and the class-names), for fear of breaking missions that use those weapons. I may include a "correct" Cobra sight, I'll see what time I get, and then simply transplant the current "Cobra" model onto a C-More variant.
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 11, 2006 Just finalised the M24A2 scope, check out the link below: Link to M24A2 Image

Ironsight 1 Posted April 11, 2006 Looks very nice. Will the G3 also be included in the next release? Remember seeing screenshots of it but I wasn't sure if it was release-ready.
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 11, 2006 Looks very nice. Will the G3 also be included in the next release? Remember seeing screenshots of it but I wasn't sure if it was release-ready. I'm trying to get it ready, its mainly the modle thats the issue, coding wont take 5mins. I'll try my hardest to get it included, but no promises.
Blackbuck 9 Posted April 11, 2006 Jackal would you ever consider adding your handgun packs to a future update and update them a little maybe because they were really good for their time maybe you could make it like that again just a suggestion gonna go play for a bit with thr originals
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 11, 2006 Most of the handguns are already included, the only ones that aren't (that I can remember at least) are the SIG PRO 2009, the SIG P225, and the S.T.A.R.S. Beretta. The SIG SAUERS I may include in a later version, but the S.T.A.R.S. Beretta is highly unlikely to ever be updated. In terms of the variations in the models (i.e. different colour schemes), I wont be adding any, as there are issues with modelspecial (the command used to show the pistol as empty when not loaded). These issues could be over-come by adding different magazines for each version, but this wont happen.
echo1 0 Posted April 11, 2006 Except for the gold plated versions, arent all the Handguns from the Handgun Pack already in the current addon?
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 11, 2006 Most of the handguns are already included... Ahem
lifeguard532 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Jus curious......is there a way that the sig 228 regular and SD could be coded over to JAM? but then again, does JAM even have magazines for them?
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 12, 2006 I doubt it, but I'll check and add it if it exists.
ruff 102 Posted April 12, 2006 these handguns are better without jam jam values of handgun bullets are badd had to change them to make handguns usefull in cqb sjb handguns are sweet the way they are p228 will probably just use the 9mm bullet in jam which is not reall y good at all
Blackbuck 9 Posted April 12, 2006 besides that using JAM mags with J326's pistols makes the slide stay in the back position making it look liek the weapon is empty (could be useful online )
gatordev 219 Posted April 12, 2006 besides that using JAM mags with J326's pistols makes the slide stay in the back position making it look liek the weapon is empty (could be useful online  ) I believe this problem has been corrected in the new (unreleased) version, thanks to Cornhelium helping Jackal out. As usual, Jackal, weapons continue to look great. Looking forward to the update.
cornhelium 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Quote[/b] ]using JAM mags with J326's pistols makes the slide stay in the back position making it look liek the weapon is empty As Gatordev said, Jackal's kindly fixed that in the next edition, with separate pistols for JAM diehards like myself. However, even I have to admit that these beautiful pistols are best by far with Jackal mags  On the Sig P228 and JAM: 'fraid not. For 9mm pistols there's only mags in 8  (PM), 15 and 17 (luger / para) rounds. Cheers, CH
echo1 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Most of the handguns are already included... Ahem Sorry - You must have posted a few seconds before me
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 12, 2006 Well, I HADN'T actually done the JAM-only versions, thanks for reminding me. I've completed them, and now have JAM versions of the Colt 1911 (and suppressed), P226 (and suppressed), USP (and suppressed), M9 (and suppressed), MK23 SOCOM (and suppressed), Glock17/19 (and suppressed versions of both). These weapons have the usual classnames, simply with "_JAM" tacked on the end and use ONLY JAM Magazines - using SJB magazines as well, seemed to create the modelspecial error seen in the regular SJB versions of the weapons. cornhelium 0 Posted April 12, 2006 Ah, thanks mate. Thought I'd sent you a pistols config snippet a while back, must be thinking of something else. More proof that too much .cpp work sends you senile Cheers, CH
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 12, 2006 Oh yeah, you did send me it, I just forgot about it Its sorted now anyway, so no harm done. Thanks for sending it though
Blackbuck 9 Posted April 14, 2006 if the current sjb_tosm4.pbo is 174 MB on its own it leads me to wonder how friggin' big this release is gonna be
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 14, 2006 SJB_TOSM4.pbo is currently in the region of 250mb. The other PBOs haven't been drastically alterred yet - I have plans to update some of the optics to greater detailed ones kindly provided by Benus.
wheitmann 0 Posted April 14, 2006 The SJB Weapons Pack is turning into a mini-mod now....250 mb....haha, just joking! Carry on the good work Jackal, I'm looking forward to the release!
Jackal326 1182 Posted April 14, 2006 Thats why I love the compression ratio of .CAB files. Totally out-does .ZIP/.RAR combined. It will still be a rather large download however, but certainly smaller than a .ZIP or a .RAR As a fore-word to the eventual release, grab the latest version of a program called PowerArchiver from www.download.com as it can open a lot of different compressed archives, including .ZIP/.RAR/.CAB/.ACE and many others. (and no, I don't earn commission for each download, though I bloody well should the amount I plug it )
