I think people should stop bugging Jackal about retexturing and making new weapons - We would all like our fav weapons in the game, but I would just prefer to play around with the new pack! I dont think that will happen if people keep asking for more!

To clarify: No, there are no XM-8 rifle variants, nor will there be in the for-seeable future. As of right now, no more weapons are being added. I'm finishing off the numerous ones I've already added (coding, inventory images, sounds etc.), and thats it - well, thats it until work on v3.0 begins

XM8s weren't ditched, just suspended indefinatly. They're going to rework them a bit after they analyze needs and problems from Iraqi Freedom.

Jakal, mate, Prick 177s are old school. US military uses the AN/VRC-91A Transceiver. The offical name is the SINCGARS (SINgle Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System) which is being merged under the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS or Jitters). Now, before I become slandered for begging for something ( ), let me throw this out --> About all you need is a name change. The "Sinkcars" as we call it is a modular system carried in the ruck. So all you need to do is change a name.

But it's your pack mate. If you want to keep the Prick 177, it's your call. I use it anyway

So you didn't want to weapon and judged it based on the wa it looks. Just like they did with the M16 when it was introduced.

I stand by my point; you can't judge a weapon in any way unless you've used it. No matter what the weapon looks like, it's not designed to look fancy in the hands of supermodels in camouflage, it's meant to be used to shoot and kill people as quickly and effectively as possible.

No, I wont be changing the radio, as I don't feel like changing the classname as well (buggers up old missions). EDIT: On second thoughts I may just alter the "display name" and keep the classname the same, as its only "SJB_Satcom" or similar

I've been busy working with Kyle Sarnik to try and get my shotguns coded like real shotguns, with moderate success (apart from a small niggling issue, but after talks with KS last night, we think we've managed to fix that - still need to test it). I'll hopefully get some shots, and perhaps a short video of the updated shotgun system when I get home from work this afternoon.

Ah, looks like the pack is doing well. I just got back from a family emergency.....all is well now considering the circumstances......however, this bickering about the weapon pack is more welcomed than listenting to greedy family members talking about who gets what........*sighs*
