I think Armed Assault is ok, but maybe something along the lines of Operation: Restore Life or something might be good (due to the fact that ArSe is 'breathing life' into flashpoint...)

I can understand the circumstances and they needed a new name.

I agree that Armed Assault is kinda arcadish.People will confuse and compare to America's Army.Which is not such a bad thing as its a military based game too.Not only that ...what If I want to go at it unarmed? Driver,spotter,spy etc...?

I really hate this name of Armed Assault, it's look like a PS2 shooter.

Seriously, do you think that soldiers could make an assault unarmed ?

Suggestions : Last War, Clone War (no, it's allready used), Red Dusk, war of the shade, 1983 conflict, Soviet conflict, Soviet threaten, Last Recourse, ...

Armed Assault ( or ArAs ) is an ok name.

It sounds generic but could attract the hordes of people who play mindless games like cs and sof2, then we cann convert them into uber ofp'ers.

i hear people saying ofp1.5 is for cash... thats ok too... bis can sell an empty box for 10$ id buy it just to support them.. lol

Armed Assault is okay, if lacking that certain something. As far as acronyms go, isn't it about time we stopped being so lazy and just typed the full names of titles when this problem arises? I sincerely would hate to see the day all titles are chosen because of their acronym. I'm sure that most people here will understand what AA means when posted. If specific reference is made to America's Army or if both games are used in the same thread/post, then I say the posters just need to be specific and pound on a few extra keys.

i don't mind the name, but i'm sure someone could come with a name that is alot better...since miltary assaults don't tend to be without arms or guns anyway....

and do not make it something super american style cheesy like "Uncle Sam's Finest"...god no...how about.

If it was me i'd make it related to op.flash...something like:

I think it should simply be called: This is BIS' BOOM Stick!. Unique and certainly not generic. It won't pass under the radar (everyone who reads Blue's News will at least be curious) and the only obstacle may be those who currently hold the rights to Evil Dead 3. The only other name that strikes me to have potential is BIS Does Dallas. Of course the latter means a change of setting, a funky 70's 'wackachucka' soundtrack and retexturing to make each soldier sport excessive amounts of body hair.
