That was counter-intuitive and had to be addressed.  If you switched it to "off", you would get both the yellow laser beam and the big green ball tracer from Wolf. Is that release actually out yet? wolfbanes tracers are only for tanks, cars, and helos. bn880's tracers are for rifels. so turning themoff wont affect wolfbanes. when i tested (rifel tracers off) i was a shilka commander @ 11 at night. i fired several rounds intot he sky. wolfbanes tracers were visable. i jumped out and fired several clips.. and saw bn880s tracers from my gun. so its best to turn rifel tracers OFF due to addons like suchy and earls weapons that use thier own tracers edit: those are screenshots... but if u thought Y2K3 was heft. thats 500 megs for one island. suddenly BIS textures arent lookin taht bad Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

What I want to accomplish is in-game a Soldier would now be a Rifleman if you place your cursor over the unit but I don't want a soldier and a riflemen to both appear in the editor. Here are the CWC islands with Res textures: ofp.info mirror and here with both Res textures and objects: ofp.info mirror I currently use the second one, had no problems yet, but I haven't tried the campaigns. I get a couple of error messages when I launch from your exe : 1) addon "BAS_derad" requires addon "BAS_weap" 2) No entry "Y2K3 custom-PE-XB-TR.bin/cfgweapons.bas-M4desACOG However it works and it rocks !! Sounds are great by the way. the BAS errors.. you sure thats with 7.0? because i removed the BAS rangers and deltas. they are no longer needed. the BAS_Weap.pbo is still there, needed for the SOAR pilots. so in either case.. you shouldnt get that error. the bas rangers/deltas are no longer used and 7.0 includes the bas_weap.pbo. so  Downloaded 24 hours ago from your links on first post ...at no more than 50k/s by the way I launched Y2K3 with your own shortcut ... Realism or personal preference? no no no. i just ment thatpeople like you, people that have other personal preferances about what to use in place of BIS stuff. and people like me, refering to... well actualy i was refering to myself only but it just sounded funnier to use a multipul term i didnt mean anything rude by saying "people like you" i just ment that there are ALOT of people out there that have changed some of hte things i used in Y2K3 because they didnt like what i choose. and thats fine, thats why i made the tutorial on my site. so please i ment no offense by that edit: this mod is about replacing default stuff with better user made addons. its what i call "realisum for the gamer" im not a realisum freak.. i HATE total realisum in a game. pisses me off. this is a ballence between realisum.. and fun. realisum for the gamer means its realistic and kinda fun at the same time. and to be honest, this mod is about alot more, but what i think draws more people to Y2K3 is personal preferance. the ability to edit Y2K3 using my tutorial to make these replacments themselves. for their personal preferance. as others just like the moderizing of the game. @Totala : yes thats 7.0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
bushlurker 46 Posted February 9, 2005 Hi Pappy! Great Work! I d/l'd from Edgefiles yesterday - no problems - took a couple of hours... I also got the "BAS_derad requires BAS_weapons" error... took a look in the Y2K3 addons folder... BAS_Weap.pbo WAS there, but it was only 215k (assume it's a SOAR-only edit??)... I had the BAS Deltas installed in res\addons, so looked in there and found a different BAS_Weap.pbo - this one was 32Mb... so I backed up the small version in Y2K3\addons and copied over the 32mb one from res\addons to Y2K3\addons... Problem solved - no more errors... In fact - no errors at all - everything running smooth and fast! Just also wanna say how impressed I am that you just went ahead and DID it... I've been watching the new ECP thread for a couple of months now without much happening apart from a teaser or two... You say "I'm not planning to update Y2K3" and then about 3 days later BAM!... totally new version! Is that cool or what!? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
