Nemesis6 has released his Effects Mod on ofp.info forums.

Here is what he had to say about it:

The default explosion has been changed, you'll notice it.

* Tanks and jeeps have a new burn and smoke effect. (scripted)

* Rotorwash for all choppers. This is my own custom version of the default BAS-Studios version. (scripted)

* All default weapons have smoke effects when fired. Also grenade-launchers. (scripted)

* A lot of the default effects have been modified. These include blood, tank barrel fire and smoke, and the water-splash generated by bullets.

* Persistant metallic debris from tanks and other vehicles when hit or destroyed by rocket-launchers or any form of grenades.

* Burn effect for planes going down.(One when in air, and one when at ground, crashed.) , (scripted)

* Rocket-launchers have backblast. (scripted)

* Bullet cartridges from rifles stay on the ground for some time after being shot off.

* All default rockets and missiles have extra flame effects. (scripted)

* Fuel-stations and fuel-trucks explode much more realisticly when destroyed.

* Flaming debris when aircraft are destroyed. (scripted)

* Water is tossed up into the air when a boat is destroyed. (scripted)

This mod is getting the same "spirit", GMR's exposion mod had for me.

It is very good and not "overdone".

Extremly nice job done!

Too sad, Keg's dxdll does not reflect "smoke on the water".

Well, that obviously depends on your system specs wink_o.gif

At one time I had 5 burning BMP's, and 3 DKM Commanches shooting at some more infantry in one view, and it didn't lag, and I don't have a supercomputer...

thats the only one i took tounge_o.gif

I dont get that such explotion.. I get just alot mor smoke, tounge_o.gif

whats wrong

It only works on mission editor placed fuelstations, not ones that are fixed onto the island

Works for me with the fuelstations on the island, only I get a huge explosion.

The picture I posted was of a fuelstation placed on the island (Nogova 2004).....actually it wasn't one fuelstation but two biggrin_o.gif

i concur i just tested it on Dr No's island and badda big BOOM biggrin_o.gif

of course im using Y2K3 but i used some of this dudes effects for it smile_o.gif and thats one of the features i implemented same way he did. so it does work. but afik only on the orginal fuelstations. not the res ones with the pumps and store.

"This dude" has a name, or at least a nickname... but "Dude" will suffice! ;-)

Anyway, I will work on adding it to the rest of the fuel-stations in the next version.

Things that will be added for curtain in the next version -

* Improved MG effects; Bullet-casings, flash, and smoke for Browning MGs on choppers, and stationary-MGs.

* Burning debris from vehicles, not just planes.

* Smoke from launched rockets on choppers.

I can not get this to work.

I've tried and tried. But I gave up.

Can someone help me to get this to work.

Maybe it's me. Or maybe it's just... how do you say..? ME!

It is quite simple, read the readme! :-)

Place the FlashFX folder in your OFP directory, put the EffectPack addon in your Res/Addons, download the addons listed in the readme, and do the same. Lastly, make a shortcut to FlashpointBeta.exe, add the following to the Target bar : -mod=FlashFX

Pretty simple, actually.

Nemesis6, you wouldn't be able to let me have a decripted version of your Bin by any chance so I can merge it with my configuration? its for my personal use, not as good as Pappy's but I use units of my choice.

I'm allso working on a winter version of it.

I haven't downloaded your yet, I'll do that now, so I may find that you included a decripted Bin in the download like Golmember used to do? biggrin_o.gif
