He did EXACTLY the same thing as Barthez did in the UEFA CUP FINAL against Valencia, he tried to catch the ball with HIS FEET!! that's a big mistake. it's what i wanted to say, not that he went on Henry to injure him, he just misse dthe ball. No, these two situations are completely different. Barthez was a muppet back then for trying then. But James last night did not have a chance, as the whole scene was initiated by the worst intended backpass ever. It came from Gerrard I think, and had James went to the ball with his hands, it would have been a free kick for France and a likely sending off for James. Ran, you may have a battalion or division or whatever, but nothing beats english football hooligans.....using the traditional weapon of thier forefathers, the plastic chair, they can cause untold damage on thier foe....even the SAS fear them.....there are stories of whole cities surrendering upon the slightest whisper that they are coming......rumours are that the government considered sending a handfull of them to Iraq to destroy Saddams armies before the invasion even began, but it was considered way too heavy handed....... Edit: Here is a picture of a replica of the Plastic Chair (British Army designation L1A1) obviously its not an authentic hooligan chair (although in the hands of one, it could probably still do alot of damage) but, its not far off the traditional weapon of the hooligans.
