Jackal326 1181 Posted April 8, 2004 *sigh* Whats not right about it? I can't see a problem if I gain full permission. I don't see you bitching at ToW for using Earl/Suchey's weapons from the Marine Assault Pack for their up-coming Deltas. Stop being so damn bitter about being fired and move on. For your information, Fliper (the creator of the original M4 Pack, my version of which you linked to), had plans to make further M4 Packs, but allowed me to do so instead, due to time constraints of his other projects. MSpencer 0 Posted April 8, 2004 Being bitter is how I work. One suggestion, break out the SRT 2.0 woodland textures for these.
AKM 0 Posted April 8, 2004 *Has stroke after listening to Jackal's justified venting over MSN and spews blood onto carpet from ears.* Edit: I'm all for having a completely new set of weapons. But considering that Jackal has already obtained permission to edit an excellent pack of weapons, and he's already done so, there's no point in him going back and redoing work that's already done. Also, the point Jackal made about you not going off on ToW like you have SJB here for the exact same thing is valid, and yet because you showed no output for a total of 4 weeks you were fired, which you described earlier as "Taking a Break" you are rather embittered towards whatever progress the SJB team might make. Which is understandable, but since I'm informed you were fired some time ago, I'm thinking one needs to see the present. AK

shadow 6 Posted April 8, 2004 Very nice models. But why no MK23? Every SEAL can choose his own weapon for every assignment and they have both the Sig P226 and HK MK23. The USP is not part of their standard inventory. Why is the M9 in this pack. Don't get me wrong. I love the handgun, but you'll never going to get a SEAL to use one due to the slide-incident in the late 80's (they hold a grudge against Beretta because of that). Jackal326 1181 Posted April 8, 2004 I added the M9 to give a bit more variety. The SOCOM will be featured in the final release.
shadow 6 Posted April 8, 2004 I added the M9 to give a bit more variety. The SOCOM will be featured in the final release. Thank you. Looking forward to it I see the USP comes with a Taclight in a couple of the variants. Is it possible to make it work? If it is'nt possible to make it light up the area, is it possible to just change the texture on the front of the light from black to white or something so we can use it for signal-purpose? Just a thought... btw the M9 silenced-sound. Did you rip it from Hitman? The sound sounds familiar.
stevevcb 3 Posted April 8, 2004 Don't know if anyone's posted about this, but the silenced USP with tac-lite doesn't have the silencer on the model, it's just the same as the unsilenced USP w/TL.
redliner47 0 Posted April 8, 2004 these are very nice SEAL's if i do say so myself, only problem i seem to get with them is they sometimes do some weird things in the pistol/rifle transition PS : Shadow is that an Angus Young anim in your sig? looks a lot like the things he does on stage
Jackal326 1181 Posted April 8, 2004 @Shadow: Its not possible to make the tac-light work. It can 'glow' but thats about it. I'm unsure where the sound came from originally, I got it from LocDog and his handgun pack. @Kooky: Damn, thats one that slipped through the net. Thats the price I pay for making last minute adjustments I guess. @Redliner: I don't know why they should act up during weapon transition, they're the original BIS animations, the new animations haven't been completed yet and so were not included in the BETA. The glow effect might not be "reallistic" but a helpful feature when playing coop in the dark and trying to signal your position to the rest of the team. Will you consider trying to implement that glow-effect? Jackal326 1181 Posted April 8, 2004 I'll consider it, but as always, I mkae no promises
king homer 1 Posted April 8, 2004 M249 got to big bullets...never 200 rounds of em would fit in the small ammo box of the saw... also M60E3 with 200 rounds ... not possible, 7.62mm rounds are much bigger then the 5.56mm, so please reduce it to 100 rounds
Landwarrior87 0 Posted April 9, 2004 when i first saw these units i was totally uninterested as they looked so BIS'sy but now.. the models and weapons.. i especially like the m4 with no optics but all the goodies.. (good ol iron sights)... still like someone suggested use your SJB woodland textures.. they still got that old bis look to them.. by the way.. that sniper is awesome. love the M21 and keep the m4 sounds. ruff 102 Posted April 9, 2004 Good work man but every time i order the guys around i hear no sounds only enagage and open fire
Jackal326 1181 Posted April 9, 2004 Hmm, strange. Doesn't seem to be a problem for anyone else. Perhaps its and issue with a mod/folder you're using. I don't think its and issue with the units themselves.
Sgt. Stryker 0 Posted April 9, 2004 works fine for me but I was looking foward to the big earpeice thing, makes them look more elite ya know? I love them a lot, the support guy is my favorite.
marine26thmeu 0 Posted April 9, 2004 Jackal awesome units, that surprise (camo face paint option) was a good one. I had a question or request, this isn't a bug or anything. For your SEAL sniper (M21), do you think in the final release you could remove all that camo from the rifle? All your weapons are very detailed, such as INQs, but on your M21 it's completely covered with ghillie straps. I'm guessing you didn't want just another M21 model, but in one of your earlier pics of the M21, it looks to be very unique especially with a Leopold 10X sight. In my opinion it stands out from all the rest, BAS's DMR has an ACOG so no twinsies there, INQ's has an Aimpoint Comp ML as well. Just my opinion, but again the TOS SEALs pack is one of a kind! ThePara 0 Posted April 9, 2004 Yeah, I'd also like to see a different woodland pattern on these guys, that old BIS pattern never did it for me. Besides that though, love these guys. Also, what happened the M4 with that special aimpoint mounting?

calm_terror 0 Posted April 9, 2004 yeah the m60 and m240 both use 100 round boxes. the m249 does use 200 round.
engen 0 Posted April 9, 2004 Got to agree tho, the 5.56 rounds on the SAW looks too big. Almost larger than 7.62's. Best thing really would be if yeh could add this razzle razzle sound when yer running with a half-full SAW box. That'd be realism for yeh. Also, 200 rounds of 7.62 takes up quite alot of space. We use 250 round boxes for our FN MAG's and they weigh quite alot, around 6.5-7kg's. Not very handy to hump around with. Trust me I know. Suggest to use a 100 round box or such instead. Verah nice pack tho Jackal.
Jackal326 1181 Posted April 9, 2004 OK, I'll reduce the ammo amount to 100 for the M60E3, M249 and MK43, and reduce the size of the bullets on the belt on the M249 SAW.
bugkill 7 Posted April 9, 2004 i would only say for you to unblouse their bdu pants out of their boots (seals and special ops do that time to time). you could also give them the new headsets that we commonly use now (mainly in iraq). its the headset that has a strap that goes around the head, and then a round earpiece or headphone on the right ear (trying to remember which side), would look cool on the team leaders with no headgear. No need to remove the 200 round belt on the SAW, it does have a 200 round belt irl. I just think there was some confusion regarding size/amount of rounds.
