Well the team has done it again , Foxtrot release has finally landed just in time for Christmas ! Countless fixes, enhancements and stability improvements have been added to this release

 

From the unsung Team we hope you enjoy Foxtrot Release and wish you all a safe new year...This will be our last major release for a while , while the team takes a well deserved rest . There may be other smaller releases / fixes etc in the future.

But don't worry we are not closing up shop ;)

Ops started at 0800 hours today as I started the dl. It has now been Christmas 1968 over Da Krong all day as Santa rides CAS on an iron sledge pulled by reindeer with wings of fire. Salute and Merry Christmas to all of Unsung team!

You place them down in the editor, and then double click them to edit their modules. The modules themselves are pretty self explanatory visually. The Mod is not tested with ACE, but all the modules that we have should not be affected by ACE.

Valkyries can only be played via the Helicopters (action menu) OR if you manually add the MP3 to your mission file which you can learn how to do so here!

i think it should be possible to play the music file via script if you just know the path of the music file in the unsung .pbo

You're looking for the uns_air pbo and the CfgSounds entries there. For the valkyries the path should be \uns_Air\sounds\Valkyries.ogg

I tried this but for some reason it's no working:

I think it's defined in CfgSounds so the 3d sound could work properly.

Yes that was it! The sound config name is "Valkyries"

 

so

playSound "Valkyries";

works

SOG operation into cambodia

3 spike teams and a kingbee vs 3 NVA regiments. Mission to covertly infiltrate rear NVA lines and identify and recover US POWs. Tense twilight running battles, massively outnumbered and outgunned.

Luckily we fielded our A team roster. Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words, appreciated! The C123 is right now not on the horizon. We made some progress in the beta to add the C-130, originally from Sabre. Hopefully we get a new texture for it for SEA use.

In Vietnam the USMC used the UH-1E, not the D. The E is basically a B adapted to USMC specs.

The USMC also did not use the CH-47, but I imagine you might have that in place as there is no CH-46 yet.

 

I did find a CH-46 for ARMA3, however it is a very incomplete port, but could be a start point: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1457539426

 

It would be really good to see a UH-1B/C/E slick as well.
