List updated:

Added the "Scenarios" section.

Aded the " Map types" and "Faction&units" subsections to the Content section.

Sorted the weapons list. They all have their own category now.

List updated with your ludacris and rather arogant wishes.

One love.

One thing that slipped my mind. Looking at the confirmed features, I noticed the helmet mounted cameras. This brings to mind the ability to not only feed the signals back to HQ or a team leader, but also the ability to have other cameras, such as CCTVs and so on. Just a thought, surveillance capabilities would improve some angles of gameplay.

There are tons of weapons, tanks, jets and whatever what I'd love to see in arma.

Most of it can be done by modders or addon makers however.

(thank you for your enthusiasm)

I figured that they can do as much as the engine allows them and therefore my wish for this Xmas and the next ones would be big improvements in the engine and these tickets:

Also, I'd love to pay for that snow units/map DLC  ;)

If the next Generation is easily and infinitely moddable, it'll go a long way to extending playablity and interest.

If modders can easily upload vehicle, weapon, and building models; and if they can easily re-skin (or even assign skins, reusing by a model trigger multiple times); if they can set up schemes and scripts without complication - then ARMA will be on its way to being an unforgettable game.

I didn't see mentioned melee attacks - using a knife, sword, billy club, brass knuckles, hand and foot attacks - or even pistol whipping, but stroking, or use of a bayonet. The picking up of a common item found in a house - cutlery, poker, chair or table leg. Just the animiations and key strokes to punch, swing/slash, stab, kick and defend against attacks. How many times have we envisioned a special forces type sneaking up on a sentry and dispatching him quietly? Knife fighting underwater? A knockout blow with the but of the rifle, or desparate stab of a bayonet after ammo is gone?

Yep. Armed and Unarmed melee attacks. Ability to import and assign values to models. Ease of scripting. Other than whats been mentioned, those three are about it for me.

I would like to see occlusion culling in ArmA 3 to lighten the GPU load.

If occlusion culling was implemented it would reduce the draw calls, wasted CPU and GPU processing and we would get better performance.

I think it's time for some map tools, like for triangulation and such. That would be cool!

SOAR (Nightstalkers)

24 STS

ISA (Intelligence Support Activity)

SAD (CIA's Special Activities Division)

Ugh... if you ask me I want the whole US SOF :D

P.S. By the way... Seals but also SEAL Team 6, because they are the best of the best SEALs.

Oh. And Zombies.

Just for those times I want to escape from the reality of fighting real simulated military and rebels.

A bit far out, but...

Dynamic and progressive deterioration of Uniforms and Equipment.

Accumulation of dirt, dust and mud, depending on weather and ground conditions.

Wet Uniforms, depending on severity of rain or passing trough water obstacles.

Uniforms have always looked too tidy and clean in Arma.

Player stats/record. Something like the pilot record in Flaming Cliffs 2 would be perfect for this. Medals could be awarded and recorded here for completing the relevant actions (i.e Limnos service medal, campaign medal, purple heart, silver star etc.). Skill badges and ribbons for doing certain training missions. I think this would add more of a sense of growth for the player.

Ability to move around inside open vehicles, for example walking around (slightly drunkenly as the plane is flying) in the C-130... This could also lead to HALO jumps, you manually open the tail door and you can jump out, or the AI could open it and close it after you... The AI needs to have the ability to do everything the player does. Also maybe if you change seat in a car, say from left side of the back to the right side of the back, there is a short animation of you sliding over the seats.

Another thing is AI's pathfinding, I don't know what the VBS2 xaiment thing was like so i cannot make any reference from that. I want them to have the ability to drive on roads, without crashing into every possible tree. If they are following another vehicle they will not randomly crash into the back of the other vehicle, try to overtake by driving into a tree... They will brake accordingly, wait for a bit for the other guy to move off and if they do not move, find an appropriate route that does not involve going through a building around them. Also when the AI is landing planes, no more of the plane wobbling on it's path... Maybe you/the AI can be an air traffic controller type person and designate where an aircraft has to go, the aircraft will find a path to that place avoiding all obstacles such as annoying trees/buildings that are too close the the taxiway, maybe they could not put in those trees in the first place! Also the ability for you/the AI to call for a pushback onto the taxiway, if there is a tow truck available and that can get to the plane (which would not just drive across the runway in front of other landing planes or from an entirely different part of the map), from when "parked" in some kind of stand. The pushback would automatically be requested From when the engines are turned, if the plane is in need of a pushback, on so the plane will not just go into a random building in front of it and blow up!

I have more ideas... but i cannot quite recall them at the moment

When in multiplayer speaking to team members via radio, (real time with microphone) the actual character emits the same sound file.

So when in close combat you hear the enimies voices from the characters mouth (not radio).

So if you have NO radio at all, you can still talk to each other depending on proximity to the other player just like real life.

Hope this makes sence.

Be gentle with me this is my first ever post lol!

Default the doors to closed.

In Arma2 buildings we canenter have the doors defaulted to open. Minor thing but seemed odd to me, and would be better if they defaulted to closed.

As somebody added in the thread I started; some,if not many should need breaching to get in. I guess I'd say the same for some compound gates.
