The Unsung Vietnam Mod 3.0 WIP THREAD

Hello everybody.

 

Really love this mode.

 

 

Right now I am running the CO_22_Evolution_NAM mission on my server.

 

I am trying to make all Unsung Items be available in the arsenal without having the normal arma Items.

 

Does anybody know how to do this or has an script he can give me?

If you wait a few days I'll have the public version of the nam mission ready. Egg will then upload it

It will also include and arsenal box that works the same as the ammoboxes filtering on rank and class.

Please remember that your not allowed to modefy this mission following eggs licence.

- spaceships, zombies, NVG's, ACE compatibility and King Kong base attacks

 

One quick question: what would you make reconsider pushing ACE compatibility to a milestone that will be released (as I don't expect Unsung to cover King Kong or zombies ever).

I wouldn't get my hopes up m8. What I really would like to see what I didn't see in the roadmap is possibly a cooperation with the team at TFAR or something to introduce the radio backpacks as genuine working radio backpacks in TFAR (An example of this can be seen in 3CB pack with their own radio backpacks for the IC). Good idea but please no take it as a request, I don't wanna get hate from the devs as one of "those" guys ;~; <3

all that compatibility stuff will / may come at the end of our work flow, depending on team resources. it's not a major priority BECAUSE we need to test our mod and its modules and scripts in terms of performance and functionality and bug-tracking WITHOUT any other mods being used.

I'm looking for someone to assist me in Public relations sector of our mod. This will involve creating new ways to promote the mod, reach new audiences and get our name outside just the Arma community. We are not a monetizing mod so if you thinking of $$$ please move along.

Steam (including workshop)

Other social medias

 

Personal requirements:

 

Able Work within a team

Able Keep Confidentially with a host of affiliates and associates

Build relationships and network with gaming clans not just in the arma community but similar milsim genres

All we can offer is to become a member of a great and upcoming mod that is focused in making the most authentic,claustrophobic, intense & atmospheric Vietnam modification ever made in a game.

The only models they are using are ones in the map by Cpl.Variable.A - as far as i understand it. (edit - today i have seen evidence that potentially some of our soldier models have been used - we are investigating that at the moment)

 

Nobody is permitted to distribute parts of unsung without a special agreement on a model-by-model basis from the team. 

This is because many of the models are "fixed" in unsung by their donation history.

 

We are in discussion with him about this, to ensure our necessarily detailed license requirements are upheld. e.g. he cannot include our pbos with his map release file.

 

We just shut down another guy who abused our rights - he is now banned from armaholic, steam and BI Forum. 

 

And yet another guy popped up yesterday onto our radar. He has uploaded unsung mod to steam. This is also not permitted. Our license does not permit redistribution of the mod - and this means no uploading it to steam workshop.

oops sorry wrongly worded i meant to ask have you talked to them because they have texturs and things you can use like the m113 and stuff

For those people that are unfortunate enough to not have excel, as long as you have a Microsoft account you can use Excel Online! https://office.live.com/start/Excel.aspx You can download the classlist and then upload it using Dropbox or OneDrive! Bada bing bada boom you're sorted ;)

Or just download the excel viewer...  I suspect you could open it with the google office online stuff as well.

Looking forward to the next update guys. Downloaded 2.6 for A2 the other night and dropped it into AllInArma to refresh my memory of what was in the pack. Like K4ble, I too am looking forward to the Skyraider as well as the Bronco. I think they are two aircraft that will find homes not only in Unsung but possibly missions genres as well. Keep up the good work guys.

it's already been ported to the mod kable.  also my favourite doin sandy support missions, just like it's great grandson the warthog.

regarding the m113's, here are some pics of the magnificent fleet pook made for us in A2 - they have been ported and are just awaiting the ordnance, butthey will be in the (next) BRAVO release.

nah it was slated for 2.7 but we didn't finish the release pack.  it's released in Rangemaster mod, that's the only place you'll find it til unsung a3 bravo release.

Yeah unlike some mods we don't go overboard by demonstrating all sorts of different pics of vehicles and units.  Much of what we do is revealed only by playing the mod.
