Those who like ARCO and Holosight, please vote for the bug.

Recommended Posts

ARCO and Holosight are my favorite optics to use on rifle. But their reticles are not centered, deviated to the right side .The reason might be the memorypoints for proxy are not in the right place. The issue has been exist from the day one of ArmA3 alpha released, but has been neglected. I do hope they can be fixed. So please help vote.:D

It might just be the mod weapons proxy point is off.. I don't notice anything wrong with them on vanilla weapons.

------Sir,don't take it for granted, ok? Same issue on the vanilla weapons, take a look at the following pictures( use the wall corner line as a reference):

On MX:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=255785671

On the EBR:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=255785593

On the TRG-21: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=255785239

On the MK-20:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=255785123

On the Zafir:http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=255785004

Eotech holosight has the same obvious deviation. I don't have to list the screenshot too.

In fact "RCO" and "MRCO" has the same issue, but not that obvious.

Good ticket - voted. From your picture of the EBR you can tell that the ironsights do not align with the reticule (sp?). Wonder what you would hit, both sights can't be right

I'm pretty sure the optic is the correct one. otherwise the scopes wouldn't be usable :)

When you detach the optic, the irons are once again correct.

This is quite silly old bug from alpha and quite obvious even on BIS weapons

I hope they will fix it

I actually thought that was intentional, and not a bug, but WTH do I know.

If the sight is centered on the rail, and the reticle is off-center, it should be counted as intentional, because the optic would likely behave the same way irl.

Anybody out there who actually owns an eotech XPS who could take a picture?

BIS ARCO and Holo sight are misaligned - real optics must be aligned in center of the weapon which mount already does that irl, otherwise the optic wont work properly

To fix this , you have to move the Attachment model (all lods) to the left to be aligned

Priority: none. Wow, BIS... Obviously.

Yeah, and the empty target version means they never plan to fix it! :j:

Took a look at the priority of other 99% of the tickets and the default setting for the new tickets?

I do believe that priority is set by the person who makes the ticket, not BIS. That's why the female soldiers ticket had high priority and filled by email for more than six months.

Actually, the priority always defaults to none and is set by BIS once they assign the ticket. (Because if you let people set the priority themselves, guess what 99.9% of them do...)

It seems to me that it is the entire optic that is sitting off-center on the rail, not just the reticle. Either way, it's definitely annoying.

This is really bothering me. It seems such a simple fix, don't you have interns for this kind of stuff? :P

I think if it were simple.. it would already be fixed. there is likely an underlying issue that requires some planning and thought.

In this point, DAYZ did better than ARMA3, unless the ACOG in DAYZ are ALSO uncorrect.

So you're saying, that DayZ did better than Arma 3 unless it possibly didn't? No offence meant. :D

But unfortunately it did: http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/dayz.gamepedia.com/8/88/Acog_Optics_Zoomed.png

I think it was mentioned that all it requires is moving the eye memory point to the tip of the crosshair of the scope. It takes a whopping one minute to accomplish to fix the issue and a few more to confirm zero. Hell give me the model and I'll do it.

What people don't realize is that the scope could be mounted sideways away from the weapon and it will still be on target, as the base impact point comes from the eye point modeled in the 3D model, so if the "zero" is off on the scope, so is the weapon.

Video below is an MX (if I remember correctly) and best viewed with full screen.
