as far as i remember yeah. been a long time since i visited the Nexus forums though. i think he makes the mods alongside Millenia.

Got to nip this in the bud, I don't/haven't modded for Fallout or New Vegas.. not unless I suffer from serious Tyler-Durden grade Multiple Personality Disorder, and somehow both personalities are obsessive modders.

also pretty sneaky reference to Upotte on one of the LAR-15's. didnt realized it was M16A4 on the side of the Buttstock lol

Any chance you can do the same on the Battle-rifles like the M14,G3A3 and the FN FAL? :D

I thought about it, but I didn't want to push my luck. Perhaps down the track some Seishou Academy for those that might want it, maybe.

The Minimis are very nice - having lots of fun with them.

A couple of issues I did notice though are that on the weapons with a picatinny optics rail, in some LODs the rail is duplicated so that there are actually two rails in the model, one slightly higher than the other.

I noticed this is the case in the .p3d source models you provided too. Obviously that's going to increase the polycount of the weapons a bit more than it should necessarily be.

Secondly, the M249E2 Para has both models for the gas plug pasted on top of each other (the plain tube one from the Minimi models and the adjustable one from the M249 models)

The flares will be noted but not priority at this time.

Ossum! Those would make PvP night missions without NVGs really enjoyable (especially if you guys use RHS flares).

This talk about adjustable gas-plugs just reminded me of something. This goes way back to I think ARMA 1 or maybe even OFP but I can remember someone releasing I think a Minimi and possibly a MAG 58/M-240 and other MGs with an "adjustable rate of fire" which was just basically two full auto firing modes, standard and rapid. As far as I know a lot of armies (at least with the MAG/GPMG/M-240) have been doing away with the adjustable plug as AFAIK despite the added flexibility they view it as just one more thing to go wrong (either from user error/incorrect setting or wear from repeated adjustment over its lifetime) vs a fixed/non-adjustable plug. I'm not sure if this is even possible to do in ARMA 3, but you guys have done some really interesting things with your weapons (How awesome is the quick change barrel feature on the AUG?) so I figured I'd mention it.

The story of the Arctic Warfare Magnum pretty much mirror's the rise of it'smaker- Accuracy International. What started in the 1980s with the then small-time manufacturer winning the contract to replace the Enfield L42A1 (No.4 SMLE "Sporting" rifle) with it's Arctic Warfare rifle- adopted as the L96, grew markedly with it's success with LE,Military and Sporting shooters. From there, really the only way was up, and within the decade, Accuracy International began looking at building it's successor- Something in purpose-built Long-range calibers. The result: the Arctic Warfare Magnum, available in factory chamberings of 7mm Mauser, .300 Win Mag and .338 Lapua Magnum (AKA Moly-coated $10 Bills). Essentially the same rifle as the AW with a few slight alterations to make the weapon more sturdy with the stouter rounds- Redesigned chassis, Buttspike (Not Included), Muzzle Brake and Barrel fluting are amongs the improvements.

This pack covers Two variants of the Magnum family, one real, one fake, in one caliber (.300 Win Mag, because WIN MAG):

The AWM (Technically AWM-F) and the AWC-M ( A bastard hybrid of an AWM and an AWCovert. The narrative excuse is it is a limited run, purpose-built contract order by a PSC, though that doesn't excuse it being wildly impractical). The original model(which was the AWC) comes from my now-mothballed project For Hire, but I got enough interest in it that I revived it for Arma3.

Additional notes-

- Supports ACE Ballistics. AWM has a 24" Barrel with a 279.4mm twist, AWC-M has a 16" barrel (Shrouded with suppressor) 203mm twist.

- While it's not a dependency of the AWMs, I highly, HIGHLY reccommend running this with Kerc's Weapon Eventhandler Framework (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?192780-Weapon-Eventhandler-Framework). I designed this mod with the use of it in mind, BUT it can run without it. Please show some love and use it

Partially it's because AK mags on the whole are heavier than most of the other rifle magazines, but also partially because honestly I've not seen a proper metric on what the inventory mass number is supposed to represent in actual real-world terms, so my inital guesstimates were working off decigrams (one of never-used middle measurement between grams and kilograms). It's compounded by the way it doesn't even seem to be universal even within standard Arma3, thing heavier or lighter than any sort of establishable baseline. With the MP5s I did some math and I've found a ratio that feels to me to be close to accurate, and I plan to go back over the weights of everything and bring it in line with that.

If it relates to the PVS4, yeah I spotted them cross-linked textures. I plan to patch soonish to make all the weapons conform with the newly implemented inertia settings, so standby on a fix for that.

I'll see what I can do about it.

More than it is already? Granted there a bit more of a grab at the bolt on the downstroke, but that's because the pivoting cocking arm gives you more mass to grab than the nub on say an MP5, so it made more sense from a tactile perspective to me.

Notes - Yes ,the zero on the MP5K/MP5K-PDW are fixed to 50m. This is to reflect the intent in design of giving the MP5k low-profile notch aperture drums- it's not really catering for range. And there's known visual issues with the MP5K, see readme for details.

In other news, I'm looking into implementing support for Ruthberg's Advanced Ballistics across the board, as well as fix interia across the board. So expect patches for that in the coming weeks. Probably also AUGs, because I've been sitting on them long enough.

Fully loaded ak magazines weigh between 16-18 ounces. Depending on wether in a composite magazine and on 5.45 or 7.62. So no, they're not really heavier. a fully loaded GI m16 mag weighs 16 ounces.

1 bug you forgot about - all weapons in your packs without bipods are still working wrong when you fixate your weapon ("C" button)

I mentioned it a couple of pages ago but I can't remember if I went into detail on it, but that's mostly intentional. So here's the logic behind this-

If you aren't carrying a bipod, either as part of the weapon or as an attachement, there are only so many places you'd want to (or are able to ) "deploy" your weapon, almost all of these are bracing : either the frontmost hand, the front handguard, or any rigid enough surface running perpendicular to the barrel axis. The way I've got my "deploy pivots" set up on bipodless weapons is to simulate that-it's generally forward of the left hand. While BI may subscribe to the school of thought that says it's okay to brace or support your weapon off the mag, I don't, as with a good number of rifles that leads to feed issues (of most notable infamy, M16s and M4s). Seeing as the prone deployed state for weapons without bipods isn't actually a 'supported' stance, this leads to the issue where my weapons sink you into the ground.

I have no plans to fix this as it would make braced shooting in other stances look dopey. My advice is if you're going to shoot off the deck without a bipod and find the prone deploy too unsightly, find a rock to deploy on or just do without - the mechanical benefits of it are minimal without a bipod on prone anyway.

what about player model which fantasticly falls in ground textures? it makes player model 2 times harder to hit, that kind of bugs really annoying in TvT missions. Mate, we playing Arma 3 which got a lot of conventions and "iron mags" which can be used as weapons bipod is one of them, may be we just need to adopt it like ton of others?

I do see your point, but still respectfully disagree. If we stuck to the conventions of Arma 3,you wouldn't see things like, for instance, ACE or any of Ruthberg's or Spartan's efforts at improving the authenticity of the game(as Spartan and I discovered recently, BI's ballistics are pure steroid fantasy), or Jurassic Arma- all break convention with Arma 3 in some way shape or form.

In the interest of fairness though, I WILL consider it. I'm not promising that I'll reverse anything, but I will reevalute my train of thought on the matter.
