makhno 166 Posted July 1, 2015 I'll certainly use the new objects when they become available, to upgrade this island. Though performances could be a problem.
commandouksf 14 Posted July 3, 2015 Makhno, Thank you so much for this superb jungle map. My unit has just spent the last 3 months on a series of Campaign missions using N'Ziwasogo and it was awesome. The jungle graphics and sound effects are superb. Navigating up some of the rivers in armed patrol boats and getting caught on the sandbanks was a challenge and added to the difficulty in a good way. Lots of nice buildings and hidden bases deep in the forest canopy. We used the Nimitz ship as a base to operate from. All the best
autigergrad 2034 Posted July 22, 2015 Just want to give a shout out to the developers of this awesome map. I'm using this and Isla Duala as a combined African Operations campaign. In a sea of desert/Afghanistan maps, its refreshing to get a totally new experience with these African terrains. LOVE the jungle sounds as well. Amazing on my headphones. Kudos! RhodesianScout 189 Posted September 4, 2015 This will be nice for a Rhodesian Light Infantry scenario Hi flatbear Have to agree with you that N'Ziwasogo is a great map to have a Rhodesian Light Infantry scenario playing out...... I purchased Arma 3 back in July after getting a computer that can finally handle the graphics and after a month or so of playing .....specifically on the N'Ziwasogo map...... I have decided to do some modding. As soon as I am allowed to create new topics I will start posting previews of the mod(s) I am working on where there will be numerous maps and missions based on what happened in the Rhodesian bush war..... working on my first map at the moment which I just previewed in L3DT and is looking good. While I love the sounds from N'Ziwasogo I have created 10 sound files which are a little closer to what you would hear in the bush... reminds me of the old days walking through the bush.
makhno 166 Posted September 7, 2015 Good news, looking forward to this. I love the bush war setting.
b.a.verrecus 16 Posted December 9, 2015 just a quick question. i am not sure what exactlly the outcome of the discussion about the vegetation fix was in the end. but IF everything was okay in the end, is there any way to get it from somewhere? all the links are down. of course, nevermind my question if there is an issue with it! dr@gon 118 Posted January 12, 2016 Makhno, Thank you very much for the updates. I'm a big jungle map fan and have played this map a lot. Glad to see some updates for it as I think this is one of the best made 3rd party maps, defiantly a favorite of mine.

TURCO_AR 5 Posted February 9, 2016 Makhno, you create a nice map and we appreciate the jungle ambientation. But you are aware of this problem in which bullets go through the walls of some ruins?. Is there anyway to fix this on any future update? I did a test shooting with a 9mm pistol... [EDIT] I use AiA TP. Thank you for your work!
Crielaard 435 Posted February 9, 2016 Do you use CUP or AiA terrain pack? I think CUP fixes this.
makhno 166 Posted February 15, 2016 As Neptune said : Use CUP. Though I can't guarentee it will fix there problems, on very old ( I think they're arma 1) buildings.
TURCO_AR 5 Posted February 17, 2016 Thanks for the answer guys. Unfortunately using CUP Terrains Full does not work. Here is the result: It's a shame because it's an excellent map. Thanks anyway.
MrSanchez 243 Posted February 17, 2016 Thanks for the answer guys. Unfortunately using CUP Terrains Full does not work. Here is the result: It's a shame because it's an excellent map. Thanks anyway. I might be mistaken but I think the ruins are part of Icebreakr's Isla A2 Duala mod (ibr_dtowns.pbo) - thus changing AiA TP <-> CUP TP won't have any effect. As far as I know, the ArmA 3 version of Isla Duala does not contain these ruin objects so I think you're out of luck on this one >.< Kind regards, Sanchez
inlesco 234 Posted February 17, 2016 Thanks for the answer guys. Unfortunately using CUP Terrains Full does not work. Here is the result: It's a shame because it's an excellent map. Thanks anyway. My bet - wait for Tanoa because it'll certainly have some jungle-fitting ruins for mapmakers. Or pray for someone to fix those :P
imager6 40 Posted March 1, 2016 The group I am in played a mission on this map tonight or tried to. The walls, buildings were as though the were not there for the AI. This is one of our favorite maps, but 1.56, Eden or something has made this map unplayable. I hope the problem is addressed soon, so we can have this great map back again. taro8 806 Posted March 1, 2016 I would like do mod the grass to be taller (just because I feel like it ;)). Is there any way to do that on my own?
makhno 166 Posted March 2, 2016 @imager 6 : In which town were you ? Can you provide a screenshot of the suspected faulty building / wall ? Do you use CUP terrain or all in arma ? @Taro8 : Yes it is easy to do. If you play singleplayer or on a server that don't enforce signed addons. you need to modify the vegetation parameters in the config of the island. Look for "Surface Character" and "Clutter". but beware Tall grass kills performances, and leads to frustrating deaths against invisible IA.
imager6 40 Posted March 2, 2016 Makhno, I will get all information for you when I get home from work.
imager6 40 Posted March 2, 2016 Makhno, we were in the town of Quinhamel and we use CUP Terrain Maps and Core. The forces were Cup Takistani Army and Cup USMC. This happened many times around different walls and buildings. We just gave up and stopped playing. I can send you the mission PBO if you want.
