Arma 3 STABLE Server 2.18 "profiling / performance binary" feedback

Recommended Posts

The new hotfix to the hotfix seems to be working well. Also, my frame rates seemed to be higher then normal during last nights match.

starting to test 1.28 profiling v1 with new traffic logging

37.187.132.224:2102

37.187.132.224:2802

so if someone can join , even idle it would greatly help on optimizing the game MP

it seems that the servers are down now.

is the 1.28 perf v1 client necessary to play on a 1.28 perf v1 server?

Performance was pretty good but then we we're 11 on them when i played.

Solid 50-60 FPS. No lag, didn't notice de-sync.

nope, server is now compatible with stable (that's the aim of the profiling/performance branch, incompatible was unusual state of emergency)

We use this on our BECTI server which is pretty populated and full of AI:

steamLanguage="";

language="English";

MinBandwidth=34952533;

MaxBandwidth=104857600;

MaxMsgSend=576;

MaxSizeGuaranteed=576;

MaxSizeNonguaranteed=300;

MinErrorToSendNear=0.090000004;

MinErrorToSend=0.0089999996;

MaxCustomFileSize=0;

guaranteedupdates="false";

It's been working well but if anyone has feedback on what we can do better I'm all ears.

BTW Dwarden where should I post the profiling file?

no, PERF v2 is just w/o RPT antispam as it was preventing some of the logging ...

Lol, you ignore me extremely hard...

I want only one official basic.cfg, then we finally know, which settings are right for a server.

You are making some "performance binary" things, but dont want saying anything to the value in the basic.cfg...

I want only one example for hardware x with maxplayer y. What is now your problem?

The settings in the basic.cfg are very important. You can have extremely strong Hardware, but when the settings are shit, you will have no chance to reduce the performance problems on your server.

I do not understand why nobody wants to know that too?

Shit basic.cfg settings = no performance binary can help the server fps...

Btw: Thx SpanishSurfer for your support.

You are not on the right thread...
He is on the right thread and I think he has a valid point about making sure that everyone has similar settings especially while testing. There should be a standard basic.cfg files for people to use depending on the mission type and number of players to prevent misleading reports...or am I missing something obvious?

There is so much parameters depending of your hardware...

So for testing, the best cfg file looks the standard one.

To compare new version to the old, you need to keep using the same cfg and just compare performances.

To adjust your cfg file, there is a lot of thread about the setup.

Maybe the crash is caused by wrong basic.cfg values.

Give please a example from your own running server.
