If I have "installations" in an asymmetric style Military AI Commander, on the map (with debug) you can see "ALIVE_fnc_cc_getWeapons". If I am in the spawn vicinity of that area, I get an error saying "bis_fnc_SelectRandom", and if I hang around in that area, it will often lead to a game crash. Is this already a known issue? I've been using both single units "B_Mortar_01_F" and the mortar team group classname "BUS_MotInf_MortTeam" to no avail. in the Case of the single units, they simply grab their gear and run their merry way towards the target, ignoring the empty and crewed vehicles i put near them or sync to them or group to them, etc. when i use the mobile mortar group, ie. "BUS_MotInf_MortTeam" they don't work - no options to target or interact with when i select them. Thoughts, suggestions ... d3rt13n 5 Posted December 23, 2015 Hi Theopolus You can use the Transport Logistic Module and use a ground vehicle (instead of a chopper) and command that vehicle around via the 'talk to pilot' menu or the ALiVE tablet. Since I was looking for a way to get a vehicle to maintain a certain speed while doing patrols I experimented with trucks, apc's and cars. They work just as well as choppers and will also automatically engage enemies depending on the ROE you set on the tablet display. So if you would like to move your mortar squad around using vehicles and the ALiVE mechanics that is the way to go. It's kinda quirky when you're inside the vehicle since it sais 'talk to pilot' even if you're in an APC but it works. This is a way to have a mobile mortar team that reacts to point and click when using a GMG vehicle. Haven't found any other way to use mortar teams as arty yet. I don't know what happens when you click the set altitude mode. Let me know when you find out. Here is a setup on Stratis, it's on the OPFOR side. Open it up and drag select all the units on the airfield and copy them into your mission and set the commander to player. Change the vehicles accordingly to the blue side if your mission features this. The mission is not complete, since all ALiVE modules are not in there, I assume you want to have a look at how it is set up in the editor, hence the file... In the mission there is a GMG mounted on the Punisher, I have found you can assign it the task of circling a certain objective as well, just like a chopper. Been trying to set the RHS custom OpFor faction 'rhs_faction_vdv' aimingAccuracy to extremely low and sometimes it takes, sometimes it don't and its driving me crazy :p I have debug enabled and can tell right away if it takes as it lists all of the subSkills of the newly spawned groups while its happening but generally it is not taking at all anymore. "BUS_MotInf_MortTeam" works fine with vanilla ArmA 3 and ALiVE - they happily mount up and move out. Obviously, it's some contradiction with one of the too many mods our group is running. You can add your own settings for a faction in the userconfig folder. Look for "GAMEROOT/userconfig/asr_ai3". In that directory, you should fine the files you can configure to your liking. I placed a Military AI commander for each side, as well as a mil placement (civ obj.) for each side. I set each to asymmetric style with the max amount of "installations" set for each in the AI commander module. I placed the two civilian modules as well. I did see the "array has no elements" error come up at the bottom of the screen one time. Shortly after that, I was running around and the game froze and crashed. Pretty much the same behavior I had on my other mission when using "installations" within the asymmetric style military ai commander module(s). In the editor preview... If I have "installations" in an asymmetric style Military AI Commander, on the map (with debug) you can see "ALIVE_fnc_cc_getWeapons". If I am in the spawn vicinity of that area, I get an error saying "bis_fnc_SelectRandom", and if I hang around in that area, it will often lead to a game crash. Is this already a known issue? For example, if you wanted non-hostile civilians in a particular area, but extreme hostility civilians on the rest of the map. You could put one civilian placement with low hostility and restrict it to a TAOR named (for example) "bluForTaor". And, an additional civilian placement to go everywhere else on the map (with the bluForTaor being blacklisted if you didn't want the hostile civies to spawn in that particular area) and extreme hostility... So, basically if you wanted civilians of different types, and/or with different settings, that would be the benefit of having more than one civilian placement on your mission. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

How is Arma performance for everyone over the last 6 months? Any increases from development?
