just before release i'll add a list of the all the "breaking new ground" kind of stuff we've added too, as it's not just the quantity but the quality that needs to be beheld.

we've been inspired by many other modders and community members here, and have had some awesome donations of kit too. so it's very much a community built thing this.

with a small group of us fragged out from the last big push...

once it's released i just hope you enthusiasts can step in and insulate us from the whack-jobs who will be like "ooh that box on the stoner has a hinge-pin 1/8th of an inch diameter and it should be 1/6th." or "why can't i get any steaks of the goddamn buffalo!" or "why no vietnamese women? you all sexist cos women fought in dat warz man i no coz my mum was one" etc etc

My congrats Showmaker . . . simply love it. :inlove:

You guys rock. :cc: Thanks for all these beautiful toys to play with. I'm really impressed.

Just to give you an update on what KommieKat and myself are up to.

The campaign is nearly ready some minor stuff to add and some more play testing.

The campaign is called Dong Xuan it contains 9 OPFOR missions. The missions are fully working with intro's, outro's, hyperlinked markers in the briefings and it should contain everything which makes a mission functional.

Since in the real event forces were of regimental size, which Arma can't handle, we did our best to portrait the events as best as we could. Naturally the ArmA engine can't handle the figures of the fighting forces involved therefore we had to adapt it somehow trying to maintain the storyline of what happened. We did use quite a lot of enemy units in editor and also spawned in order to maintain an acceptable frame rate. I'm testing on a low end Dualcore meanwhile Kommiekat is testing it with a highend computer. I did myself on my I7 once and I had no problems whatsoever. On the Dualcore I'm struggling a bit but it is definitely playable on a lowend computer.

This weekend I will do the last adjustments some minor stuff and we have a first beta release ready.

The campaign has been tested only by KommieKat and myself for the time being.

This is an invitation to all UNSUNG Mod members to contact me if you want to try out the campaign. My email is nettrucker@gmail.com

I'll upload it on my drive and I can share it only for team members for the time being since no one else is having version 2.6 anyway.

That's it for the time being.

cheers :D

Just curious amongst all the new content added in are there any stuff related to the Mobile Riverine Force? After bumping into this pic yesterday:

DSCN1844JPEGde.jpg

I was fascinated at how the force operated on rivers with mobile improvised bases. Some even operated off a mothership which has heaps of monitors tied to it ready for dispatch.

Id love to see us be able to build floating bases in A2 with Unsung mod. Would certainly give a new aspect of riverine warfare.

:)
