dmarkwick 261 Posted September 12, 2013 It's not a military game, it doesnt have any military content. The military cancelled the comanche helicopter 9 years ago. The military doesn't use p99s or fs2000s. The military doesn't use hexagon uglies, or green frog garbage boxes. The military uses things like AH64 Apache helicopters, jet airplanes, M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks, Hind attack helicopters, cargo planes, m4 rifles, AK pattern rifles. You could plausibly say that instead of making military simulators, BI is making "combat games" like Call of Duty now, or Planetside 2, to be more accurate, but to call this a "military game" is to speak a falsehood. Yet another one who simply did not understand what they were buying. It sounds to me like you were hoping to buy ArmA2 again, why do you imagine that BIS will simply make the same game over & over again?

tortuosit 486 Posted September 12, 2013 [...5 random issues] Every product is unprofessional in your professional world I guess, because every product is likely to have even more than 5 issues.

Simas 12 Posted September 12, 2013 It is funny how the professional reviewers don't think so. You mean like this? A professional reviewer complaining there is too much walking in Arma

dale0404 5 Posted September 12, 2013 You mean like this? A professional reviewer complaining there is too much walking in Arma  Exactly like that! Thanks for pointing it out, a score of 81 / 100 is pretty damn fine for a game like Arma 3. (I like walking).
sektor 2 Posted September 12, 2013 Yet another one who simply did not understand what they were buying. It sounds to me like you were hoping to buy ArmA2 again, why do you imagine that BIS will simply make the same game over & over again? If you take away the visual improvements, the game is pretty much the same since OFP. And the title from the official page "Experience true combat gameplay in a massive military sandbox" is not very accurate.
EDcase 87 Posted September 12, 2013 Congrats to BIS team for all their hard work through some tough times!!! I am a bit disappointed with the content and some of the bugs still in, BUT I am confident that BIS will continue their efforts to make this an even better game. (It would be fantastic if we could get the A2 content ported to A3)
b00tsy 28 Posted September 12, 2013 You mean like this? A professional reviewer complaining there is too much walking in Arma  Thats a pretty louzy review to be honest, does not look like a pro reviewer at all. Blaming bad servers and mediocre scripted mission for his gameplay experience (while trying to play it on ultra settings) and blaming the game because he stepped in a random server with random wasteland type players that don't play as a team. Yeah duhhh.
clydefrog 3 Posted September 12, 2013 Exactly like that! Thanks for pointing it out, a score of 81 / 100 is pretty damn fine for a game like Arma 3.(I like walking). 95 for graphics and 84 for audio is VERY generous

And the title from the official page "Experience true combat gameplay in a massive military sandbox" is not very accurate. The game is pretty much the same since OFP? If you means the UI then I would have to say what a shame :( But if you are talking about the actual gameplay, then HELL YEAH THATS WHAT I WANT ! :D
Simas 12 Posted September 12, 2013 Curious, what's wrong with Arma 3 UI exactly? Seen it mentioned in a couple of post already. Other than the stupid radar HUD for vehicles it's a vast improvement over Arma 2.
maddogx 13 Posted September 12, 2013 If you take away the visual improvements, the game is pretty much the same since OFP. Can't really say I agree, at least not 100%. The improvements are coming in slowly and incrementally, but they are happening. AI still aren't great, for example, but they're a lot better than they used to be. I guess the main problem is that it's all going a little too slowly for some people. (Myself included, I must admit.)

While at the same time being nothing like a military sandbox? This flurry of threads is hosting some bizarre thoughts.
sandman1980 18 Posted September 12, 2013 First of all CONGRATULATIONS for the BIs developments!!!! Thanks for ARMA3 Now, I'm tired of hearing complaints about lack of content. Be sincer, who of you play Arma2 Vanilla??? All have a lot of mod loading, and eventually the same thing happen here. So, why all the rage? Arma 3 is the platform, the community will give life to the game. If you go to Armaholic or Steam Workshop, you can see over a thousand missions and a lot of mods (mods created during alpha and beta fase, think in the mods to come!!!!!). So, not behave as capricious children and wait... wait and you will see!!!!
