this kicks me off servers with: "unknown game version" message. :(

already resolved, it takes short while before the beta is supported by BattlEye!

[89899] Fixed: Helicopter is more accurate with unguided rockets

I guess this one didn't make it into ToH 1.04 Cougar patch? :(

Btw all the beta patches still say that to uninstall the patch you need to uninstall and re-install whole OA. That is not true so perhaps you should change the installation message so ppl don't get scared.

Anyway, trying out this patch -->

Interesting. When I join a server now, instead of it telling me what addons I am using, it gives a long alphanumeric string.

Anyone else notice that?

u should always delete the beta folder stored in your expansion folder

Drive letter:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\Expansion\beta

but i gues u know, now the people who gets scared come in here and read it.

Would make sense if BI implemented a different message to the patch installation .exe

Not a biggy, just saying that ppl might get a bit confused and not try beta patches...

please disable that "lookaround-drive"-feature when trackir is used !! . it really kills the use of trackir. you end up so often somewhere you didnt want to look at.

you see it extremly , when you drive slow and hard curves, and than the view flips to the other side. driving no more possible like this.

Seems that default A2OA Javelin target + lock procedure is still bugged for players (playing on veteran). Perhaps somekind of mismatch with "I-look-where-I-turn" feature or someone at BIS "sabotages" Javelin/targeting systems?? :(

Maybe it got broken by the locking system changes/additions introduced for TKOH/its Hind DLC?

Javelin locking is broken in this beta and in 89647. It's fine in 1.60 vanilla.

I would be happy if they just fix the A2 units to use backpacks without having to script it.

Issue noticed from gunships (Viper and Apache, others possibly - only had current experience with the two atm) - gunner isn't properly locking onto targets even when selected with a left-click in the FOV.

It's broken in 89223 and 89606 as well.

As far as I can tell the only helicopter I can get to attack bluefor foot soldiers is the mi8(utes island). The other ones in guard just fly around over the enemy. It seemed the same in the regular official 1.60 update. This is when testing in the editor. Maybe its just the second gunner that is the issue or something I'm missing. As far as attacking vehicles they work fine.Just seems the second gunner in the mi24v doesn't always attack foot soldiers.Am I missing something?

cotabucky not every soldier or team is found or attacked automatically-instantly by pilot/gunner in real - why should they do it in A2OA or break away from their current mission/role? Guess BIS could implement a "loiter" waypoint in A3 or test it within the next betabuilds. Meanwhile try doWatch, doTarget, doFire... ;)

Hi All!

[89964] Fixed: Linux servers were never green in server list.

Seems that it does not work properly.

Have installed beta on client side - 90242

Server version (Linux) - v1.60.89986

The server is still yellow. Also I'm using sound mod - JSRS.

I believe it can be a reason of yellow server's status.

For green you need to have the same mod hash as client as the server has.

Mod hash is generated from modfolder names AFAIK.

Does this only apply to helicopters? Or all vehicles? Land, air and sea?

I just noticed something that is not directly related to this beta, but is IMHO in need of fixing: When playing multiplayer, remote clients will sometimes have very laggy equipping. Like, you click on a weapon, and it takes a minute until the gun and magazines are loaded.

This is directly related to the amount of weapons in the description.ext: The more weapons/magazines, the slower the remote clients work, up to a point of being unbearable.

I searched the forum and the CIT but couldn't find anything, so I created a new ticket: https://dev-heaven.net/issues/29233
