Smurf 12 Posted November 8, 2012 The biggest world ever fot R*, 3 lead characters that you can play whenever you want (each one with special skillset and "minigames"), dynamic missions like in RDR, no more romance stuff, new gameplay for cars, shooting and punching and the whole thing looks so good.... Sadly, it was confirmed for PS3 and X360 but nothing has been spoken about the PC version. Probably some months later but who knows. Next 14th a trailer will be released. http://i.imgur.com/2QmIk.jpg http://i.imgur.com/3KoWp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/OV6Cn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mD0ZO.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dNQmyh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1cKhU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Te2Cm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/32ciF.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hQVsg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/exmRy.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Byw83.jpg http://i.imgur.com/7F44A.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ufHPu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9z2Ti.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ldz1E.jpg http://i.imgur.com/bWjHb.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1wXxH.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ZjVbR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Bi4kR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SPTfl.jpg BONUS: q1HPGQq4-Sg

Maio 293 Posted November 9, 2012 I spoke with Gary Foreman back when GTA 5 was announced and he said that their Leeds Studio will be handling the PC version of it. Of course things could have hanged...
krycek 349 Posted November 9, 2012 Sadly, it was confirmed for PS3 and X360 but nothing has been spoken about the PC version. Probably some months later but who knows. Next 14th a trailer will be released. I'm pretty sure we will have the pc version 6 months later, these discussions always pop up,it was the same with GTA 3,Vice City,San Andreas,GTA IV when people got worried we might not get a pc version. Usually I'm more worried with their other ips not reaching pc platform, but not GTA.Remember GTA IV was released on pc in 2008,back then pc was in a very sorry state regarding game sales. Regarding V it's interesting with the on spot changing between 3 characters. Not really interested in Trevor and Franklin,Michael is the perfect choice for me. I do hope we will have more varied missions than GTA IV,with a few exceptions most of IV missions were "drive from A to B,kill some dudes" or "drive from A to B,kill some dudes then finishing with on-rails,scripted to hell and back chase". I always found it a bit odd that we get a huge open world, yet the missions are always completely scripted and can be done in only 1 way.
mrcash2009 0 Posted November 12, 2012 Well yes theres always the storyline and yes that will always be a scripted affair, never been any different. The main thing is the storyline are actually good & this time you have 3 lives to follow and switch with. Also they are implementing all that was learned with Red Dead with the mini/dynamic missions system all over the map, so its not as if the story line is the only thing to do. NeMeSiS 11 Posted November 12, 2012 Well yes theres always the storyline and yes that will always be a scripted affair, never been any different. They still wouldnt have to make the missions so damn linear. Its not impossible to leave us some room for our own solutions to solve missions while still having the same outcome. mrcash2009 0 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Well I guess its no LA Noir, but then again that's what all the open world "outside of the story" aspect is of GTA, that's your non linear aspect. The idea to have a tight story & mission sets to then jump out of to do what ever the hell you like kind of makes it a poor argument in R* eyes. I must admit that I followed the entire missions/story for GTAIV in all other versions I got bored very fast, probably becuase of the graphics and story aspect. Also I guess PC version will be left as thats never released the same time as consoles, never was. I would suspect PC will have some more fancy additions with multi screen support, higher def and one thing I will be watching like a hawk is the replay feature to edit your own videos, I wonder just how far they will take it? Maybe direct 720p to youtube account? More editing suite style options and key framing? Who knows. Edited November 12, 2012 by mrcash2009
froggyluv 2136 Posted November 12, 2012 (edited) Really it's only the sandbox mode in between missions that hold any appeal for me. Missions become contrived and tiresome pretty quickly and the over the top macho acting doesn't help. Its driving around, smashing into shit with a side of mindless killings until you get a full five star death warrant on your head that leads to that rush feeling of -how long can I survive this unless your silly enough to park in one of those ridiculous "your safe now" parking spots in which all maniacal killing is forgiven. *sigh* I'd like to see the running from the law -sociopathic loner aspect developed a little fuller. Im talking, your wanted until you disappear for a long time out into the wildnerness. Log cabin building/flyfishin/huntin and trapping mini games with of course the occasional Fed showing up or shady mountain men feudal wars. Of course after a while you could venture back into cityslicker life and even hop back into that humdrum main storyline -but I'm bettin me and at least 3 others would embrace the former. All I do in the game is police chases. Granted I have never owned the game. I have only played it at friend's houses and I have always really just done police chases. I was never really interested in missions. Edited November 13, 2012 by Jakerod

Well, all i would like to see is the option to figure out my own entry point/route into an enemy base. I understand that they wouldt have to allow it every mission (As it could turn into 'Steal armed chopper and shoot everything, snipe survivors from rooftop' for a lot of missions), but allowing us to think every once in a while instead of just blindly following a path would make the missions infinitely more interesting. Just a bit more space to move around in while on a mission.

Goodbye ArmA when this comes out for a few months, goodbye work too haha! Really think so? Looks like more of the same with new cut scenes. I'd like to see some of their huge hollywood budget finally go toward some sort of revolutionized gameplay enhancements. One of the characters looks like he may be based off of Tony Soprano. The wife, daughter, house with a pool, therapist comment etc. Just rewatched the season from start to finish straight and have to say, its even better the second time thru with the last episode still being pure genius Edited November 14, 2012 by froggyluv
