comp_uter15776 1 Posted August 14, 2013 Well Hitman, that means "Wait for the SPOTREP", and that will detail what's actually changed. A patch candidate is basically so the dev's don't have anything majorly broken before they add something (large?) to it. At least, that's my understanding. KingoftheSandbox 10 Posted August 14, 2013 There are no more fixes or things added other then the SCUBA fix. Patch candidate means testing the final dev build as full patch, without changing anything to the official beta patch this week. Im pretty sure they said this would be the last stable patch for beta, then only DEV builds till the full release.
HitmanTwoActual 188 Posted August 14, 2013 Ah thanks for clearing that up. Didn't they say, that we we're getting the UAV's next this week, and Altis around Gamescom?
purepassion 22 Posted August 14, 2013 Didn't they say, that we we're getting the UAV's next this week, and Altis around Gamescom? In the SITREP it says they are targeted to be released in the next stable patch, which is yet to be released. Nothing is out of schedule so far. :)

Indeed, I thought PP's statement was slightly out of line xD Unless he meant "next stable dev patch" ;D <As in, one that isn't falling to pieces>
HitmanTwoActual 188 Posted August 14, 2013 Ah, I am running the Dev build haha, but other than that, it looks like they are getting close to it.

maddogx 13 Posted August 14, 2013 Something to look forward to: New sabot hit effects implemented. I like the effect of sparks colliding with the ground. #Arma3 #particleEffects Source: Twitter

pathetic_berserker 4 Posted August 15, 2013 Java implementation proper HALO (only due to missing cargoplane) attaching explosives to vehicles (the old implementation that was shown was just scripted as well) Linux dedicated server support Haven't seen the drop down menu for soldier customization yet (Could still be in nonetheless) 3D Editor Those are all the originally planned features that won't be in the initial release. Actually it was possible to attach satchels to the assault boats in the alpha, but it had to placed towards the front and be done from shore. I put up a ticket about the odd placement but havn't checked it since. The scuba show case wich sabotaged from below used a mission specific scripted solution. metalcraze 290 Posted August 15, 2013 And has there been some sort of collective amnesia regarding the weapons attachment and equipment customization features, with backpacks that actually work? Does no one remember sorting through hundreds of M16 variants in a single crate? Nobody forgets that. But even then attachments are not finished (a gun with UGL and without are two different unrelated models) and backpack does not make much difference apart from expanding carrying space. It's as if you can now carry 20 mags instead of 10 on your vest among other stuff. In ArmA2 you'd need to unpack it and modders had no trouble teaching AI to do the same either, in A3 you will get instant access to everything anywhere on your soldier. And even then inventory has issues. Try taking separate attachments / magazines off of a gun on the ground.

purepassion 22 Posted August 15, 2013 (edited) Arma 3 Beta reinforced with Steam Workshop Before the official launch of Arma 3 on September 12, Bohemia Interactive has published a final update for the Arma 3 Beta. The absolute highlight of this update is the integration of Steam Workshop – which makes the sharing of user-created scenarios significantly more convenient. Link to the Blog post. Additionally, 9 new stunning screenshots of Altis have been published! Edited August 15, 2013 by PurePassion
13islucky 10 Posted August 15, 2013 Someone knows the new name of Anti Air rocket for RPG32 ??? Assuming that the new patch rolled in there isn't any. The rocket behaves more like its 'real' counterpart and launches a rocket propelled grenade instead of a missile. There's projectile drop an' all. If you want AA you're better of with the Titan. The point is there is a Rocket for the Alamut that is called "Alamut AA Rocket", which is clearly isn't. It probably is a left-over from the guided days of the launcher.
