maddogx 13 Posted August 13, 2011 I see. Well, in this case, Iranians appears to have really diversified equipment. That's true in any case. Or how would you explain the Israeli-looking vehicles? ;) I'm still thinking knock-offs.
Black Cat 10 Posted August 13, 2011 Maybe the Mi-48 is a unlicensed Mi-28? The Iranians produced both the AH-1J and the UH-1N unlicensed with extensive modifications as the Panha 2091 and 2096, I believe.

Black Cat 10 Posted August 13, 2011 I know, but maybe in the Armaverse it's an unlicensed "Upgrade" of the Mi-28.

PuFu 4600 Posted August 13, 2011 Those pc requirements are the minimums or the recomanded ones? afaik those are minimum. Bear in mind that BIS have set them as high as they have in order to minimize the "omg...i got a phantas7ic rig - p4 512 ram, on board gfx card and your game iz not workin!" type of comments. That doesn't mean the game will not work on lower specs, but the experience might not be the optimum one
frostwyrm333 1 Posted August 13, 2011 one more thing about animations, if characters are visibly breathing, doesnt it mean that animation system was improved to support such stuff? From what I understand about current anim. system it would be insane to try something like this.
purepassion 22 Posted August 13, 2011 yes you are correct with that. There are now even new properties meaning things like fingers are now also animated

instagoat 133 Posted August 13, 2011 Anyone else notice the kinetic energy gun system? Railgun tanks, yes. Hopefully modelled with realistic punch. I already love them, even though these are just as fictional as the MI-48 helo, it´s feasible technology, and war-driven development always has been faster paced than peacetime development anyway. These will probably be seen very rarely, and if you see them, you´ll probably want to either get rid of them quick, or stay out of their sight.

Mmm... I'll repost what I posted at armaholic. I mean shit, ArmA 3 depicts small arms weapons that have a cased ammo system, but at the same time kinetic energy weapons are widely available.... that just doesn't jive. They really need to do a hell of a lot more research.

They really need to do a hell of a lot more research. They won't be widely available, that's the thing. The tank with the novel weapon is likely to be a prototype in the main campaign, i.e. the only example in the world. It won't be every man and his Big Dog (*shudders*) running around with one. CarlGustaffa 4 Posted August 14, 2011 Yeah I hope they have that tank with conventional weapons too. The rail gun version is a nice mission objective, but don't think I'll be using it for much else. Pretty much like todays rocket artillery, which I find too effective, and of course the Scud.
