You couldn't disable BAF Lite either despite having the paid-for DLC. I couldn't, at least.

I would like this as well seeing that Ill be buying the full DLC soon.

thanks for the patch as always BIS

can't wait to see what future engine improvements and new features we will get in the near future.

LOD for me is somewhat better so thats a plus :)

BIS, you fixed the vanishing objects glitch. Excellent, excellent.

Edit: Darnit, not fixed, just improved. I still get a village or two disappearing (only) when framerates are very bad and my back is completely turned.

Also, I love the small-sized explosions on the KA-60's 50mm FFARs. Much more reasonable for that caliber, wish you would port it backwards to all the choppers. (2.75 inch and 70mm rockets could used a lesser downsize, as could all shoulder-launches AT weapons.)

However, I laughed out loud when two fully armed men disembarked from a Ka-137 UAV. The Predator doesn't have that problem, does it?

Also, the Ka-60's main rotor can't seem to be disabled by even 7.62mm rounds, whereas just one in the tail rotor hub will knock it out completely.

Is there any improvement in game engine?

Is the game more optimized now?

What I could see spot on: the better vegetation LOD switching. It is not that immersion breaking any more.

'Adjusted sensitivity of Her Majesty's soldiers' Are they more in touch with their feminine side now? The lads a bit too in-yer-face for the modern battlefield were they?:D ;)

The first time ever beeing able to play cooperative all evening without a single crash, freeze or slowdown. Thanks to V1.56 patch.

Harvest Red campaign Bitter Chill mission still has same serious cooperative bug that has been there at least from V1.54 or maybe earlier.

Bitter Chill mission played in cooperative has a bug where tasks Reach NAPA postions and Reach CDF positions will result players 2, 3 and 4 freeze on their positions after cutscene that normally would end the mission. Also player 1 (the host) will lose GPS, nightvision and compass (those are normally disabled during cutscene, so the game actually continues in weird aftermission cutscene state when ever 2-4 human players are present).

Before they fix it (if they ever do). The only workaround is to tell all other human players to disconnect before Reaching NAPA or CDF positions and play that part alone. After that dialog, cutscene, Debriefing screen and next mission Delaying the Bear will unlock.

I will post CIT, screenshots, dumpsfiles and savegame files later when I am able to. Mission is reverted several times so it is not some random bug, it is there always. I assume everyone else who have completed this in cooperative have used endmission cheat here, but I prefer my workaround, since endmission cheat will have its bad side-effects.

Has direct chat been fixed? Direct text chat didnt show up for other players when typing in multiplayer. I hope its been fixed. Also, some people joining a multiplayer game couldnt read what other people typed. Because I bought it with steam I have to download 7 GB to see if it has been fixed.

Well for me things are back to normal as regards fps popping and all the LOD debacle that 1.55 brought to the table. So its back to what I was used to as 1.54 for performance and LOD with the goods that 1.55/56 bring ontop, so its back to enjoying than having issues get in the way of play.

Exthreads=3 is the clincher in many areas, only thing that I noticed was loading times seem a little longer, but hardly anything to complain about.

I enjoy this patch very much. The performmance is better than ever before on my rig. I get up to 90fps using FLIR and up to 50fps on Takistan with a minimum of about 25-30. That's more than ever before. On Chernarus perfomance is also improved. I don't know what they did but it was something good. Thank you very much BIS

Could someone give me the layman's explanation of exthreads=3?

I have heard that I should use, as a dual core PC user, exthreads=1 in order to increase performance.

My CPU is 2.53ghz and struggles to handle the game in many instances.

Are the issues created by 1.55 patch resolved with 1.56? I had to revert back to 1.54 after I updated to 1.55 due to performance issues.

did anyone notice that tracers have been changed with 1.55

Not sure what problem with tracers you mean, but I was seeing tracers from my SAW last night. Also played an hour of ARMEX and had pegged 60 FPS the whole time.

The good performance from 1.54 is back since 76067 Beta. For me it's even better with 1.56. I now have the best perfomance I've ever had in Arma 2.

Don't know about tracers because most time I use mods like Warfx etc.

1.56 did and good jump on the 1.55 patch, very well done. Iv got an bug when going in prone position and moving up or back side to side, the gun the player haves moves out to far and then comes back realy fast. Its like its glitching back to the player when moving, it looks like the gune is not even in the players hands at all when in the prone position. This is seen in the 3rd persion view.

Hi,

''Add: more camo (replaceable textures) selection for OA vehicles.''

What it mean? How it work?

I downloaded the patch (1.56) and I saw nothing new with OA vehicles.

I want so much a plain green BTR-60 and Shilka...

Thanks,

-Luc-

what I would like to see is:

all DLC version numbers

I mean down in the right corner I see the A2OA versin number, but I would also like to see A2OA:BAF and A2OA:PMC version numbers, so I know what versions I have.

Could this be implemented?
