    It's been a little while since I last updated this on here! I've been taking a little break, and have been having a rather unsteady development process, but as of recently it's been getting a lot steadier, work on the map is still being done, and the object count is now of 33,000+ objects. Still has got a long way to go! Cheers!
  3. Hello there! I've been recently having this issue with Buldozer and I haven't been able to find a fix, so I come here to ask if anyone could help out or knows anything about this. I've already tried to re-extract my Game Data and updated everything. I hadn't used Terrain Builder in like two weeks since I took a little break, and didn't touch anything. Yesterday I wanted to get working again, and whenever I open up Terrain Builder, I get this message which doesn't allow me to proceed and keep working on my terrain/map project. I hope we can come across a fix for this since I'd love to keep working on my project!   4. That's rather strange. My TB also takes a while to load-up at times aswell, and interactions are extremely slow until I open up a project. Infact, if I open up TB and tab out of it without any projects opened and etcetera it may even freeze my computer interacions (aka I can't click anything at all but move the mouse around.) So I'm not exactly sure about how to solve that issue, I've just went along with it for now since it gets fine after loading up a project for me.
  5. Okay, so I've managed to do some advance by looking at the latest update of hoverguy's thread. Here is what you need to do to fix this: -Go into STEAM, then click the "Library" tab -Look for ArmA 3 then right click it and select Properties, then on the "Local files" tab, click "Browse Local files" -It'll open the root directory of ArmA 3. -Copy your newest "Dll" folder and paste it over into your Project drive (replace the existing "Dll" folder if asked to do so or if there's one already). -Copy "steam_api64.dll" and paste it over into your Project drive. -Try launching ArmA 3 Tools and then Terrain Builder. The issue should no longer be there. If there are more things you are missing when you get the error pop-up message, make sure to follow these procedures to find the rest, ask here, or make sure to take a look at hoverguy's thread over here: It does not have the solutions for this in specific, but I took inspiration from a few things he mentioned, saw some keywords that were related and the lightbulb turned on in my head and I was like "Oh!... Wait!" and I was able to sort it out. Hope this will help you too, if anything else, feel free to ask or post your procedures here. Wish you all best of luck, hope it helps. Kindest regards

    Hello there! Sorry for the late reply. You have a very good idea, and I will indeed implement that. I'll try to see what can I do about the desaturation and sinking a few things in. I have a few buildings sinked in to show that they weren't taken of and that snow just built upon them and etcetera, so I will keep at it! I'll see about adding a few dead trees aswell.     Update & status: Been filling the mountainous areas with rocks and other things in general to give them a bit more life. There hasn't been much work in details & building of areas, but just general design & preparation of the ambience. Went from 12,000 objects to 20,000 out of all just manual rock placement for both mountains and valleys (in the lapse of a few hours from 3-4 days), and some regions in general. Work on cities & landmarks & etc of interest will be resumed shortly. Currently no pictures of this cause it isn't very interesting (like, come on, it's just rocks!). Will keep working on it and get some nice screenshots soon. I'm currently dealing with thinking of where to place an airport (if I do it at all) and a few places to add some more cities, military foritifactions, landmarks, and some easter eggs of course! Thinking also the outlay I'll be putting in some places, such as plains, dense forests, lakes, etcetera.   9. Hello! I'm currently making a map without an airport, is there any possible way we can do this? I've had two results so far, one of them being with no input in the ILS arrays: it would end up in an airport being placed in a random location (same happens if you have no roads but just that there'll be random roads!), or in a error message of "No ILS assigned" _(if I input one empty value of like, zero) on start-up of the map. I'm gonna add one to my other map, but the one I'm currently making is an unhabitated island and there isn't much of a point for it to have one as it is sort of a small terrain of 2048x4 and the island is very narrow. Anyone have any clue what I could do? Thanks you!
  10. Hello there! I've been looking into trying to tinker around and learn how to make snow maps for ArmA. Although the satellite image and other settings are very simple to do, I was wondering - but what about the trees, the clutter, and the houses? They'd all look as if they were normal, green trees, green grass/bushes, instead of white or houses sort of covered in Snow. So here I ask, does anyone know anywhere we can get assets (Mods or alike) for a winter map? Or reskins of current in-game things to make them fit in a snowy environment? Also, it'd be really nice if it comes from an accessible author or if they're allowed to be publicly used! Thanks you!!! Kindest regards

Here I am pleased to announce, that myself, alongside all the help of fellow ArmA 3 content creator and players, I've finally finished my first ArmA 3 map that I had wished to do for so long! Teumess! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=870872623 Teumess Teumess is a fictional island, loosely based off of Mykonos, Greece. It is one of the Greek islands along Lemnos and Agios Efstratios (Altis and Stratis). It is a 10KmX10Km map (with 65.071 objects), split onto one main island and six smaller islands, the main island being of approximately five kilometers in length, with mountain peaks of up to two hundred and thirty meters, also along deep seas that go as deep as three hundred fifty meters depth. This is the first map I ever made, it's made with lots of learning, effort, and love. I take it as my start onto the more advanced modding aspect of the community, this game has given me many years of entertainment, fun, and enjoyment; and I've decided to start giving back to both the game and the community. Requirements Subscribe, play, and enjoy! 🙂 Map The map is focused mainly on close-quarter encounters and infantry movement, although other things can also still be used. There are ten cities in total, some of them being urban and some rural. There's also two military bases and few landmarks scattered around the map. If you find any issues or have any suggestions, feel free to tell me. This map is still up to have revamps and updates in the future once I get around to doing them or if there's some cool suggestions people would like to see.   12. Hello! I been developing some sort of "Survival" gamemode with loot spawns and etc-etc; but I been also kind of been modifying maps and trying to add more maps so that there's variation. The issue I'm having is that my "loot" spawns on "positions" of different buildings - and some of the buildings I don't know how to get the name of (as they are custom or imported) and I need help figuring out the items (buildings) of a map or just a building I see around that I find interesting & fun to use. I need to obtain the classnames & positions for these. Thanks!
  13. So I did found a work-around back then. But now I need something different again, as the previous techniques don't quite work in some occasions. In this situation in specific, I'm trying to find the building classnames for some buildings in a custom map, regardless of whether they may be from A2, A3, or custom. I've tried looking into map files, tried about three different script approachs but no results. Any suggestions or ideas? It's been about a year but, yeah, still working with this kind of things with buildings and etcetera! The Radio trigger doesn't work, and the cursorTarget on the debug doesn't either. It works in general, for most custom maps and official, but I wonder if this is a problem with the map's developer or the tool? Maybe an alternative way would work, but if not, it is very nice as it is so far!! Thanks for everything! Cheers! Thanks in advance.
  14. I still have the same issue that the bomb spawns at ground level, so it won't work inside of buildings or above roofs. Only on clean terrain, and this is not what I'm looking for. Thanks for the help though!! Any suggestions?
  15. How would I do that? I'm not quite sure. I currently have this on the trigger: "bomb="BOMBCLASSNAME" createVehicle (getPos IED); deletevehicle IED; IED being the Civilian. Also for some reason, if I set this situation inside of a building such as the hospital, nobody will take damage. If it's outdoors, everyone near will die. Any ideas? Edit: Seem to be that the bomb spawns at ground level only, so the hospital level overrides it, and if I put it on the top floor the bomb will still be on the ground level. I need to fix this aswell! Don't quite know how to code it.

Today I had a question of some rumour I been hearing around, it being that it is said that you can use "Miller", "Stavrou" or even the "Kerry" face variants on your ArmA III profile, just that the option is hidden; although you can apparently do it by editing some of the configs of your profile document; I was wondering how to do this and if it's even possible, since I already tried; but the classname for Kerry's face I got may be wrong aswell!   17. Hello! Let's say I wanna make a helicopter extraction, according to some tutorials I watched I've got to sync the heli's waypoint "load" with the units waypoint "get in". Although, if I try to sync these, the only option I get is "sync to waypoint activation" and not just "sync to". So how could I get this done within the Eden editor? Thanks you very much in advance.
  18. Hello. I was wondering if there'd ever be a possibility (in the future) that BI would ever implement/enable limb customisation? I know we can have custom faces and etc, but I'd love to customise my characters limbs alongside it. Thanks you, kindest regards

    Thank you, I very much appreciate it - but as I said, I am talking about official implementation into the game - and for ourselves to be able to customize and use in our own way - and not only with what others or BI has made/implemented. Though, cool to know.

    How do i get this look?

    You've got to "edit"/"rewrite" some options on your ArmA 3 Profile to force that face to be set on your profile and then you'll be allowed to carry it into any server like any other face. It has an in-game name and a classname, you've just got to find it then replace your current face's classname in the "config file" I believe of your profile, and that's about it. It is just hidden from profile, but if you force set it you can have it. Just like you can have both Kerry, Namdar, Nikos, etc.

    To both of you, I know how the texture layout was in ArmA II and III. I'm talking about it being a feature in multiplayer and not sole scripting/editing/modding. It'd work just like the custom faces texture, just extra work to do - still believe not complicated. We should just have an option to choose our arms or for the "custom face" to require or "come with" customizable arms and so on. Never did I say it worked the same PuFu. And RoadRunner, as I said before - I'm talking about multiplayer implementation of the feature, unmodded.

    Talking about texture, I find it more immersive when I have a character that I feel that resembles me. It is not anything necessary but it is just fancy and was a possibility in ArmA 3's predecessor, ArmA 2. I was just thinking giving my character some sort of tattoos would be neat, and if it was possible before, why not carry it over? Guaranteed it wouldn't be too complicated I believe.
  24. Hello! Today I've been having an issue that I never had before. I been using a custom face for about 1-3 months and it always worked fine - both multiplayer, singleplayer, editor: and etc. Now, recently, and ever since yesterday; for some reason, it just appears blank - but only to myself. My friends and the other people who I play with can see the face perfectly fine, but it looks textureless to me; just plain white. What could be causing this and how do I fix it? I've tried re-making the texture, removing and readding - but it's still all the same? Thanks very much in advance.
